Tokimeki Memorial ~ Only Love came to a surprise, it was quite enjoyable (and is comparable to the anime Suzuka). The beginning showed quite the template of any harem series, so I continued watching this series with little expectations of enjoyment. A silly reason to follow the anime, but the one thing that influenced me to watch this completely was Piyoko and his violent ways! That little chick (bird) has the ability to kick ass. Specifically, punked-out-delinquint-ass!
What surprised me most about this title was that the girls were actually very cute. Their personality, actions, and behaviour were very endearing; I couldn't really choose which one I liked most, didn't really route for a single one consistently. The girls were a bit speedy with liking Riku, in opinion, and this was the only frownable aspect when it came to characters and character relationships.
TokiMem input a lot of fun events into their anime such as the Culture festival, the Student Council games, and the Christmas party; I really enjoyed these. There was a good display of both fun and funny moments. Plenty of episodes that were chuckle-worthy.
The ED song had a nice feel to it, and there was a period when I put it on repeat. It's quite a standard song, but I find it very easy to listen to. So yeah, TokiMem was surprisingly good, there was an abundance of energy that was enjoyable, and the characters were pleasant. | |
