A mighty impressive intake on an animated musical. Even without dialogue, there was much depth in the story and characters. The events that occurred were smoothly contiguous and I came to like Stella a lot.
I'm not a fan of the staple repetitiveness-without-conclusion style of music that is techno music, but I absolutely love the music of Daft Punk; the instrumentals are superb. The music undoubtedly aided the feel and depth in the execution of the storyline. The transition from one song to the next was a bit conspicuous. Also, there were some areas where I felt that the music was out-of-place for the specific situation that was playing out, but this was very little.
Interstella 5555 provided so much. The story was thought-provoking, the science-fiction (technological advances) were intriguing, animation was wonderful, and of course there's the music! The animation was incredibly smooth; it was very impressive, especially, during the play of instruments. This movie is definitely something you can watch over, and over, and enjoy.
