I'm sorry. I'm not a yaoi lover.
The best way to describe Kirepapa in my opinion is... typical. Typical. Typical. Typical. For all of these productions, it's the "If you've seen one, you've seen them all" type of staple. There's always a seductive 'dominating' character while there is a submissive naive one. Although this title sort of trailed out of that cookie cutter by inputting those traits in the non-leading roles.
Kirepapa had some entertainment value. For one it had those sparkly shoujo art along with bishie character design. The tone and lighting of this title was also very impressive. Art aspect: good. There are some unique character traits such as the malicious glee from the main character. However, the script and dialogue was very, very typical.
If you've kept up with me (I'm sure no one has...) you may ask, "if you dislike yaoi so much, why do you keep watching it?". Well, it's not that I entirely dislike yaoi, I'm just not so keen about. And in all honesty, I watch so I can take screenshots for the A-S database since I'm sure the male staff wouldn't want to be stuck watching this stuff. Hah!
I wouldn't recommend this. Perhaps if you're one of those yaoi fangirls. I'll admit that this is the "better half" of what is out there. For just one episode, they have a concise storyline and gave a few interesting surprises. Still, this will not be valuable to me, or memorable. | |
