Not worth your time.
It's no good. As simple as that: no good. There is very little entertainment value in Eien no Aseria. Unless you are a person that is heavily engaged primarily by visuals, this will be of little interest to you. To anybody.
What do we have here? A typical looking main character surrounded by attractive ladies? Oh look, these attractive women seem to have variable characteristics too. Hmm. It's the usual unlikeable main character going through a story that has been done a million times.
The first episode was actually pretty entertaining. It had a good amount of potential. There was a hill they had to overcome, an introduction of fresh characters. A villain that was quite typical but still engaging to watch. The way they put the first episode together was "good". However, say hello to the crappy second episode. The worst part of it was that they left everything in the air. There was a poor conclusion with horrid character development (what do you expect though, it's two episodes).
The magical battles are nice. Only because of the "light" elements. Screenshots will look good because the still involve great lush colours and tones. That being the animation is dreadful. Nothing to praise regarding the animation.
So what I said firstly in this review. Keep that in mind. This is not an OVA series where you'll remember the characters or the storyline. The characters, like Aseria, were only thrown in to look good. It's very forgettable. | |
