Synopsis :
Hiiragi Chihaya is your normal, chest smaller than average teenager. It was a normal embarrasing day for her at Meihou Academy when a strange unknown creature appears in her dressing room. Chihaya, feeling a connection between them at 1st sight, takes the badly treated creature under her care.
During a bath with her new pet, she warms up to the creature a lot more, giving him the name of "Chuu", since that seems to be the only thing he says to her. Not long after naming it did she give him a soft, yet, cute kiss on the lips.
Chuu's strange hexagram begans glowing in front of her eyes and he immediately runs off, Chihaya trailing behind him. After a risky encounter with a monster, Chihaya transforms into a "Magical Warrior Carmien".
After the battle, Chihaya discovers the human life form of Chuu, whose real name is Natsuki. Having to reveal to her that the kiss regained his health and physical strength, it's pretty clear that Natsuki has an interesting past behind him.
A short battle turns into a lifetime commitment with Chihaya after she discovers she was chosen to be the magical warrior titled Carmein. As if saving the World isn't enough, Chihaya is ashamed with herself after discovering that her first kiss was with a boy she hardly knew. What makes everything even worse is that Chihaya seems to think that Natsuki never cares about the true meaning of a kiss.
After discovering that the monster was a human whose true desire turns them into a monster after getting implanted with a seed, Chihaya is forced with either putting herself in grave danger or watching the World she loves fall apart.
Will emotion get in the way or will Chihaya overcome every obstacle that comes her way. Watch the series to find out!

This anime alright. It's about this girl, Chihaya, who becomes a magical warrior, Carmien, with the help of her partner, Natsuki.
Story Plot
Magical Carmien must stop an unkown from destroying two worlds, the human world and the world of Evergreen. To do so, she needs help from the other Magical Warriors and of course, her partner, Natsuki. They must stop 'Seeds' from attaching themselves to human desires. Towards the end, viewers find out that Chihaya is the offspring of an Evergreen man and a human mother.
Characters
The characters are alright. the main two:
Chihaya: a girl with a 'smaller than average bust.' When she turns into Carmien, she turns into her ideal self.
Natsuki: starts out as 'Chuu' an unknown alien from another planet. After recieving a kiss from Chihaya in his animal form, he leads her to becoming a magical warrior.
Overall
this anime was alright. Natsuki could've shown up more often though. I think only 12 year olds and up should watch this because there is a certain....kinkyness going on, but whatever.

There is many Magical Girl type anime out there. You name it! CCS, Lyrical Nanoha, Creamy Mami, and many more. So what makes this Series (Magical Canan) so much different? If you ask me

Unlike some others, I really found this anime very refreshing to the magical girl series. I can honestly say it isn't super original but I sure felt as if I was watching something new. That is an opinion I think a lot of people would argue over.
Animation: This anime really impressed me with its crispy clean, colorful animations. The character designs aren't too new but it can't be compared to every anime out there. The magical girl outfit is colorful and a bit skimpy, but aren't they all? There is a bit of 3-D featured in this anime, but the animation is very eyecatching and never gets old.
Audio: The audio is a very good strong point in this anime as well. It's rememberable for the most part and everything fits will with the mood and setting. The constant explosions are very well done and the action-themed audio really gets the viewers into the moment. It's probably not perfect but it did let out a shout of attention, something a lot of anime are lacking.
Storyline and Characters: The storyline itself is a but relative to a few other magical girl series, but the deeper you go into the storyline, the more you'll find the originality that this anime has to offer. Sure, you can most likely compare to a couple of other anime(Magical Girl or not), but it surely isn't as typical as others may exaggerate.
I can explain the characters in one word, Lovable! Every character is nicely introduced and truly given life. As I watched through the anime, I felt their emotions and their pain, I felt their joy and their laughter. The only problem I had with this was the fact that they were never really explained through their past. I guess it is because 13 episodes is a lot shorter than I imagined.
Your first impressions of this anime may be that this is childish and not worth your time but just to give you a note, this does have its dark and emotional moments and being based on a hentai series entitled "Septem Charm: Magical Kanan", you can obviously tell that it has its ecchi-ness moments.
Not all episodes add depth to the story but taking off the action for some charming episodes that's ultimately meant to make you smile surely gives it extra scoops on my plate. The ending may have left us viewers with one or two plot holes but the heart warming ending is where I let out a smile.
If you want to watch something charming and simple, with a little action and romance along the way, I believe Magical Canan should be on the top of your list. I can't help but to feel that this series is clearly over-looked.

Admittedly there is nothing new about this anime but rather than that being a bad thing, it is a good thing! Familiar characters, familiar baddies, familiar scenario (so far anyway).
Chihaya is the Magical Girl, so far she seems very sweet and likeable, much like Card Captor Sakura. She has the typical response to finding out she has been chosen to be the hero and has a very "interesting" transformation, was reminded a little of Full Moon Wo Sagashite at this point!! The monsters she has to defeat/purify are very similar to the ones in early episodes of Sailor Moon, where a human is the target and in good old Magical Girl fashion she waves her wand and the human is saved!!
Chihaya is befriended by a cute little purple creature called Chuu (he looks like a digimon *lol*) but in reality he is something far more interesting.
From what I can tell, it looks like there will be a host of very likeable characters, goodies and baddies alike! and I can't wait to see more of this anime!
The opening and ending songs were very lively and catchy and the incidental music fitted in well.
On the whole, I found this series, so far, lives up to the title Magical Girl anime but has the advantage of being CG created and therefore backgrounds and the such are worth looking at, rather than the flat, colourless backgrounds of older series.
Magical Canan is a true Maho-shojo and if that genre isn't for you, it might be best to avoid.
Note: don't confuse this with Septerm Charm ~ Magical Canan ~ this isn't the more mature version made in 2000 ^-^;;
