After viewing this anime, I guarantee, you will feel good about yourself. It's a kind of an anti-depressant in animated form (if that makes any sense!).

Story 8:
It's pretty close to the storyline from the manga for as a result, it wasn't a great surprise watching it. For a first-timer who has had no-prior exposure to AMG you'd think you've heard the story somewhere else before (shy-guy lives with 3 lovely beauties and goes on a set of adventures). Great stuff if you're a romantic at heart.

Music 6:
Unfortunately, I found it quite forgettable and 'anonymous.' With the exception of the opening theme, it was something that didn't keep my interest.

Animation 9:
Really well done! The Goddesses looked brilliant and the rest of the cast were drawn beautifully. Excellent backgrounds and back-drops.

Characters 8:
I think it was well-developed here. Of course, it doesn't compare to the manag, but after 24 episodes you had decent look into all of the major characters (plus some minor ones) and their backgrounds.

Overall 8/10:
I would've given this a 7 if I hadn't been a casual fan of the manga. It gets the additional point because I fell that it really is uplifting. I suppose meeting a Belldandy would make anyone happy... shame they only exist in anime and manga :-(

Ah My Goddess is an interesting anime at the worst. This is one of those romance/humor anime that one must at least see it once. The reason?

Story Line: 7
While the plot itself is extremely, and I mean extremely overused, it still keeps viewers watching. With a way-too-shy hero and three beautiful heroines as the main characters, one can never expect exactly what will happen next. While Keiichi’s –the hero- continuous attempts and failure to confess his love for Belldandy –the main heroin- may be annoying to a point, but the methods of which it occurs never fail to amuse me.

Animation: 10
Perfection. That is the only way to describe it. Unlike some, and unless one id determined to a fault to find a mistake in this animation, Ah My Goddess is basically flawless. No glitches, no easily identified cuts, and certainly, no failure in shading.

Sound/Sound Track: 5
While I consider the themes to be well made, it gets tiring after a while, especially the opening theme. If the pipe was removed, then maybe, just maybe, it has some redeeming values.

Characters: 6
While the characters are easy to distinguish because of their unique traits and style, the development is a little… correction, very slow. It may not be that bad, but considering that the anime itself is only about 40-ish episodes, the characters can grow a little faster. That might just add a little more spice to the story.

Overall: 7
I say this is one anime that is good to watch once in a while, but not good for anime marathons. I will recommend this to others or even introduce it as a starter for those wanting to enter the world of the anime. It is a CLASSIC, but it can still be better.

Ah my Goddess is just a breathtaking anime. This would go on my list of one of the best romance animes.

Story: 8
I admit that the plot isn't the most creative of animes. It is the average "slice of life" story. Keichi is basically too shy to confess his "true love" for Belldandy and the whole anime revolves around this situation. At times, it can be frustrating because you are watching Keichi try attempt after attempt to confess and kiss Belldandy. However, it's not the plot that makes this anime so addicting.

Music: 7
Ok the music really was boring and I usually skipped the ending and the intro. Just skip past it.

Animation: 10
Everything is drawn out BEAUTIFULLY. You won't believe your eyes until you see the animation. All the goddesses and main characters are drawn perfectly.

Overall: 8
Although the storyline is overused and the opening themes and closing parts are not too impressive, the animation is where the characters truly shine. This is a MUST WATCH for you romance anime lovers.

I've never really know why people disliked the "slice-of-life" theme until I seen this one... and I've decided that I didn’'t like it as well.

Plot Below Average
AMG had a very dull story progression. Yeah, the mood for this series is cheery and bright, supposedly a "feel-good" anime... but to me it didn't feel good. The "reason" for the story, Belldandy staying on earth, isn't very original. Yes, nobody tried a goddess, but this beginning of a story is pretty common.

After that, there isn't really any plot progression except for the relationship development. I hated how it ended... a funny joke happens to end the world? And also, they're still trying to joke in the serious scenes... it just isn't funny.

Story Below Average
One thing is pretty certain; most of their "jokes" aren't funny or interesting, which sadly, makes the whole thing look one step stupider. Neither is the sempai who repeatedly appear with their over-enthusiastic ideas. Neither is a wuss repeatedly saved by a goddess girlfriend. Neither is the idea Belldandy repeatedly saving the day with her pure holy angelic charming personality and power.

That's it, where’s the interesting bits of the anime?

Animation Inconsistent
Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but the animation is kind of inconsistent. Roughly in the first half of the series, the graphics are a little shabby and lack details, especially in scenes with many people. The female figure proportion seems really weird... the character expressions are poorly shown and character movements are really awkward.

Until the later parts of the series, it got better...

Music and Sounds Average
It wasn't Belldandy’s fault that she kept talking "angelic" or really kind, but it got kind of irritating sometimes. Mishima-san's VA's is pretty bad… otherwise; the other VAs isn't really worth mentioning.

The opening "Open your mind" sounds a little, err, too cheerful? But nonetheless fits the theme of the anime. The other songs weren't anything interesting.

Overall Below Average
To me, a slice-of-life needs plenty of emotional moments to make it a good one, like Honey and Clover. The uninteresting selling points of the anime are the killer of this anime, plus worse, it ended with a lousy action flick. Damn.

The extra episode featuring Skuld is an interesting episode. But then, if only the rest is something like that.

This is what I would call a feel-good anime. Nothing heavy plot-wise, but every episode leaves you with that good feeling that makes you tingle all over and enjoy the simple things that makes people happy. Well I guess that is only me but still this is a pretty good anime to get your hands on.

Art/Animation: 10
It’s superb; I must say they don’t go for the sexiness but for the rare thing that is the term “beautiful"?. Though they do insert some ecchiness here and there, most of the time its just pure elegance of the art of the characters without putting in ecchi stuff, now that is something. The colors are not so hard on the eyes and relatively smooth movements.

Sound/Music: 10
For a feel good anime atmosphere is key, and with atmosphere the music must play a major role and here we see that take into full effect. Music was good and well mixed into the series. The right sounds for the right moment bring about that added effect on the viewer and it’s just pulled off well in this anime.

Character: 8
Since the story is a long one, characters tend to develop slowly. But at least they managed to make each one unique from the other. A very distinguishable characteristic of each individual makes for good interaction.

Story: 8
As I said above it ain’t one of those heavy drama or intellectual stuff. This is more slice of life with the addition of the fact that a few of the main characters are divinities. So basically the story does not really progress until a much later part of the series. If it weren’t for the good delivery, the plot might have killed it.

Overall: 9
I would recommend this anime to anyone. If you want that break from heavy heavy drama, heavy heavy violence, or heavy heavy echiness here is something light for you. Trust me, it might do you good.

To me it a cute anime with funny character and many more, it worth watching if you just start a anime.

Character : I would start with the main character Keichi a boy with no luck on girls, he found a Goddess as a girlfriend. It's kind of shocking, but it's true. It's a little boring as you watch to the very end. Belldandy, a cute Goddess which is good at everything, has a boring boy as a boyfriend. It really cute but she is too good for him. 6/10

Music : Not a good one, both the opening and the ending. 5/10

Animation : The characters are clearly shown and the colour fits them. A Excellent on the Animation. 9/10

Overall : Hope it get's better at Ah! My Goddess 2 7/10

Why not a 10? Well that's because I just hate Skuld for some odd reason. And why does AMG deserve a 10? well that's because I love the beautiful Belldandy.

There isn't really a strong plot since the show is basically about Keiichi's wish coming true, where he gets to live with a goddess. So the episodes are about them getting used to day to day life. It may not seem like much but its quite enjoyable..

Animation and special effects in the show are of high quality and character design as I've said before is done very well.

Voice acting is great for this show, although I didn't like the english dub all that much. Music for opening ending is average, but background music and sounds complement the show really well.

Is this show for everyone? I wouldn't think so.. but it's safe to say that most of us would definately like it. This show is worth downloading.. espicially since the Second Season is out now too!!!!

Story:The story was pretty straight forward. A shortie like Keichi could have an angel as a girlfriend gives the shorties some hope of finding a girlfriend. ^o^. But there's not much excitement in this story...which made it a lil boring.
Rating:9/10

Music: A lil bad on the music, the opening song didnt fit the story much but it was pretty good. Rating:7/10

Animation:Excellent! The characters were drawn really nice and plain that made u feel calm. Rating:10/10

Overall:10/10 Like the way how they made it simple enough to understand not like Rahxephon with tons of twists and turns. The best was that there was a happy ending.

Story: To meet an angel is okay, but to have three of them living under the same roof as you might prove too much for Keiichi. It has a very nice storyline, even though unbelievable and incomprehensive by some..(to be loved by angels is bliss man, anybody would want to, right?)Then again, the crisis and tension between Skuld and Keiichi over Belldandy couldn't be better. The chemistry between Keiichi and Belldandy is well shown in this one too. Verdict:- 8/10

Characters: Not bad, even though for me there are some parts where the characters just seem to overlap each other (Skuld and Urd, well, they're sisters anyway... ^_^;;) and some of the characters are not obvious in character at all (Aoshima and Mahller) Verdict:- 7/10

Illustration/animation: One word to describe it, BEAUTIFUL. This is definitely one of the strong points of this anime. The sceneries are marvelously done, the animation movement is fluid and the action movement is marvelous (Favorite action scene: Keiichi and Skuld jumping off Tokyo Tower)
Verdict:- 9/10

Music: Another strong point of this anime. Very nice sounds and heavenly to hear. The voice actors/actresses really did a good job on realizing the voice tones of the characters. The songs are beautiful too.(Recommended track:- Chiisana Hane Hirogete-Open Your Mind and Negai-Wish) Verdict:- 8/10

Overall:- One of the best animes I have seen. Get the original VCD/DVD. I definitely recommend this one for your anime collection, really!! Verdict:-8/10

However, his boring unfortunate days change as a goddess appears though the mirror when Keiichi dials the wrong number. This is a story of romance between the goddess Belldandy and the human Keiichi.

The story was okay, not quite that creative. I didn't really like the story that much. I found it boring and no excitment. But I would give it a well done for its comedy. I thought it was pretty funny. But i would give it a so-so.

Story:6
**********************************************************
The drawing was well done. Good, detailed and stable. The color for this anime suited it well. Good job on that!

Drawing:7
**********************************************************
The sound of this anime was well done as well. No sound out of place. The characters voices were done well too. The opening music, I thought, was really catchy. I liked it a lot and kept playing it over. Good job.

Sound and music:8
**********************************************************
I would recommend this anime to viewers, but its a little boring.

Overall mark:6.9

Animation:
Really great animation, the costumes are really extravagant and beautiful (for the goddesses) full of color and paterns, which I will just assume is not easy to do since usually I give people I draw solid colored shirts and blue pants (jeans). Something about how the characters are drawn are also very calming and nice to watch.

Characters:
All the characters get developed very well and you really get to understand Keichi and Belldandy as well as her sisters. Every episode, the bond between Keichi and Belldandy grow and their different aspects are revealed.

Plot:
The episodes aren't really technically connected by a central plot, but nonetheless this is a really fun to watch anime. I guess the central theme is about how Keichi and Belldandy are going to make their relationship work. Even though it feels like an anime with a lot of fillers (FUMOFFU), it's not something that hinders this anime.

Opinion:
Not one of the best anime I've seen, but one of the tops. I recommend this anime to everyone because... just because...

Ah! My Goddess [TV]. This anime is also another adaptation from manga and it's quite good.

The story revolves around a unsignificant guy save for his talent for repairing old machine and his care for it. It appears that, luck should be distributed evenly. However, for the hero of this anime, his luck seems to be not around him. Which means, he's a very unlucky guy. However, his unluckiness ends when a goddess appears in front of him after his made a phone call to Goddess Assistance Agency. Together with the goddess, his life came to a new page and so, his new life begins.

The animation of this anime, is above average. It's really nice and the characters are also very cute.

As for the OP & ED, i prefer the OP more than the ED. However, honestly, both of them aren't very nice.

To sum it up, this anime worth watching but, you should watch this anime before reading the manga as the manga story is much longer.

I enjoyed the Oh! My Goddess OVA from years back even though it was very watered down, and the motion picture was totally awesome although it was much more dramatic than the OVA. With that being said, I absolutely loved the Ah! My Goddess TV. I managed to watch all of the fansubs, and I have to say they did a beautiful job translating the manga series. They took a number of Kosuke Fujishima's work, and combined them to create the onscreen adaption. This kept the story faithful enough to the books without it being to predictable. i.e.- The story starts slightly different in the TV series as opposed to the manga, and they added a couple of new characters that weren't present in the books. Also, the music is a definite improvement over the OVA soundtrack. The opening track 'Open Your Mind' is in my opinion one of the best opening anime tracks that I've heard to date. To sum it up, for those who were disappointed with the OVA, then try this full-length series. I think you'll find what you've been looking for.

Given how much of a fanboy I am, I'm surprised I didn't review this earlier. Oh well. Here I am, giving my thoughts on perhaps the cutest couple in anime: a boy and his goddess. =)

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. AMG is probably one of my favorite anime series of all time. Call it geek fantasy, but sometimes I wish I could accidently call the Goddess help line while ordering for delivery. I love every character in the OVA's and movie, and the TV series boasted one thing that garnered my attention: a faithful retelling of the AMG story without all the time skips found in the OVA and movie.

And that's EXACTLY what I got, for better or for worse. First off, having not read the manga, I did not know their relationship progressed as slowly as this series portrayed. But that's what I love about Keiichi and Belldandy's relationship; innocent, pure, yet strong and unyeilding. They are still the cutest couple out there. I also found it cute that whenever Belldandy was jealous, a storm would brew in the vicinity of Keiichi. Quite entertaining.

Also, you gotta love Urd, Skuld, Megumi and the rest of the friends, family and foes of the two lovebirds. They provide so much entertainment and balance to the show as to prevent it from becoming too romantic. All the goddesses are able to showcase her strengths and weaknesses throughout the 24 episode run. Many of the characters had their shining moments and made good use of their screen time.

Animation was quite beautiful with CG and animation blended pretty well. Some people complained about the nose, or lack thereof, that Belldandy had, but I didn't find it as much of a nuisance as some. Actually, I really didn't notice it at all until someone complained about it once in forums. Music, while perhaps not as good as say, the movie, was nice to listen to. The opening to a while to grow on me but I fell in love with it just like the rest of this series.

Well, I really don't know what to say anymore. I like AMG and everything about it. I love Belldandy and Keiichi. I love Urd's happy-go-lucky demeanor. I love Skuld obsessive desire to create things. I love the fact that there is going to be a second season coming in the spring of 2006. This is quite the recommended watch. Goddesses know how to entertain. =)

Ah! My Goddess is an anime that i enjoyed watching with my girlfriend as she acts exactly like her. Then one day when I told my gf that the leading (female) character resembles her attitude, she was amazed. Thus together, we were hooked to the anime and the rest is history.

Animation : The characters were nicely drawn, the scenes were detailed and everything was smooth.

Sound : To my amazement, AMG actually had a wonderful opening theme which sounds so blissful and lightens my mood. The song was fabulous and the sound effects as well as the ending theme was above average.

Storyline : If you believe in first love then this is the story for you. Classic fairy tale where a boy falls in love with an exceptional lady and you get a happy ending. Twist of the story is, the lady happens to be a goddess who attracts every other guy out there but you guys still live happily ever after anyway. It goes about on how Keichi and Belldandy (the guy and the goddess) go through their daily lives with Belldandy's sisters high and their tail. Not only that but problems from heaven arise which comes between their relationship as well and there's more then meets the eye as the story develops past memories arise and their true intentions are revealed.

Sadly enough me and my girlfriend broke up in the end and reality kicks - there's no girl who's as blur as Belldandy who actually exist in the world. Anyway the anime will get you reminiscencing your life so get it as soon as possible.
