Length : 12 Episodes

Year : 2005

Synopsis :
As an apprentice Buddhist priest in training, Satonaka Ikko was sent to the temple Saienji where his grandmother, Joutoku, resides as the chief priest. There he will undergo training so as to "come of age as a priest".

Waiting for him there is a strict training regime, a suspicious exorcism business and 6 priestesses.

It can be said that to live with and be surrounded by priestesses of the same age day after day is a blessing given to Ikko. However, the reality is for him to be rudely called and ordered around like an errand boy by each individual unique priestess. Also while they are all in training, his way of praying satisfies none of the priestesses currently.

In this kind of situation, an overwhelming mystical power can be made to awaken in Ikko under a certain condition. That condition to awaken it is "earthly desires".

This anime is the story of a perverted monk, surrounded by a bevy of beauties. Hearing about this, you might expect this to be a harem show, or possibly a hentai. While it certainly has high levels of fanservice, it fails to qualify as either hentai or harem. There is only ever 1 possible couple. And while their is some nudity in the show, its only in the final episode. In all the previous episodes, the nudity is always veiled. Hidden by mists, clothing, or perhaps some convenient object. As someone who enjoys the fanservice, I was a bit disappointed by this obvious lack. It felt like the animators were just playing with us. Teasing us, without letting us see anything.

Regarding the story. I mentioned that there is only one couple. The monk, and one of the girls. All of the other girls are there mostly as eye candy, and furtherance of the story, limited though it is. Though the girls were interesting, and it was rather fun to see some of their backgrounds. For the most part, they weren't really needed. While the story itself is ok, its never particularly exciting. What normally occurs, is some sort of spirit/exorcism, along with a bit of partial/veiled nudity, with the monk dispersing the spirit with his power. Or a bit about one of the girls, along with a spirit, and the typical exorcism. The plot while interesting at first, with its simple repetitiveness became kind of boring after awhile. Another of the things I found irritating, was how the girls were constantly beating up the guy. I know its kind of a standard anime theme, but it really doesn't feel realistic in any way, and while it initially added to the humor, after awhile it felt unnecessary.

The animation was good, particularly the fanservice shots. The girls were all well drawn, and enjoyingly animated. I was surprised by how much attention to detail was paid to the bodies of the girls, as well as their various skin tones. Still, with that much level of detail, it would have been nice if they had real, as opposed to the typical anime hair. The music was likewise good, though nothing outstanding.

Overall, I admit to enjoying the show. At least enough to continue on into the second season. However while I will watch the second season, I'm really in no rush to get to it. Watch this if you don't mind the fanservice, and are looking for a laid back show with a minimal plot.

I am not harsh when it comes to anime, but this one deserves a little harsh opinion from me.

Characters: 9 - I think the characters along with music are the strongest points of the story, the rest just basically stunk. It would have almost been believable if it wasn't for the magic and exorcism.

Animation: 6 - Pretty disappointing for an 2005 anime. It's suppose to be UP-TO-DATE. Yet I still see flaws everywhere and this includes inconsistency.

Story: 4 - This is the weakest link of the anime (GOODBYE! joking). Seriously, nothing big changed from episode 1 to 13, besides some stuff were shown about the characters nothing basically changed.

Music: 9 - Man oh man, the music was good in this BAD anime. The OP was great, and it fit the style of the anime. It's up-tempo and happy. The BMG was very loose and it went with the story even though there's nothing to go with. The ending in opinion was the best part. It's like a conclusion to the OP and really the real ending to the story.

Overall: 6 - I would have given it a worse rating if it wasn't for my leniency and the music. GOD the music was great. This has being a very disappointing anime and I hope the sequel, Amaenaideyo Katsu!! is better than this.

This anime is over all fun to watch. It is a good comedy with a lot of fan service and a very unique twist to a common plot. The main problem with this anime is that it is the typical fan service anime with way too many girls and one that he will only like, so its very predictable. But on the plus side the fan serive is constant and it is very well animated. The characters are all one dimensional but funny at the same time. Over all this is never going to be a classic, but it's a good anime to watch

So you love ecchi anime? and you thought this anime would be fun to pass time with... well YOU would be wrong!!! This anime kills all and any ecchiness.. most horrible anime I've ever seen.. this is the only anime I decided not to watch to the end.. and I watch everything to the end..

There is basically no plot.. no character development and the music is forgettable.. the animation quality is alright but it doesn't make up for the rest of the show being absolutely poopy.

If you havn't gotten the hint yet.. don't download this anime.. it's not worth the wasted bandwidth.

Plot: 5
Plot? what plot?
Ok, its just about this high-schooler monk who had awesome exocist power that he cannot control... And the trigger to activate this power is earthly-desires (you know it... boobs and panties and such). Well... nothing else…

Story: 7
Simple just harem and nonsense ecchi-ness all the way. You'll uncover some background about the characters and how some other them attain *some* form of enlightenment.

I've got to admit, some parts are funny, some are obscence but lol... As long you dun take this anime too seriously, it's a pretty fun watch.

Animation: 9
I've got to saw its pretty well drawn, although its pretty obvious that they put a lot of work to make the girl's bodies look nice. Also, this probably the first time I saw an anime where they've actually put work into the skintones of the characters.

Music & Sounds: 6
The opening theme is too childish although this anime is not meant for the childrens. nothing special or interesting about the ending theme. The voice acting are done quite well anyways.

Overall: 7
It'll be better if there was more background and character development into the series. At least its better on the second season compare to this season.

This show is a light-hearted comedy about Satonaka Ikko who possesses the mysterious power of the Saizen saint. Under the tutoledge and guidance of his grandmother, Jotoku, he trains at the Saien Temple with six apprentice priestesses, Chitose, Haruka, Sakura, Hinata, Yuko and Sumi.

The theme of the story is based around the Buddhist belief of reincarnation and that the soul is reborn into different forms until the soul reaches enlightenment, Nirvana. The six girls each respectively possess the power of one of the six forms, or Rikudo (six paths). Which are:
Chitose - Person
Haruka - Heaven
Yuko - Asura
Hinata - Hell
Sakura - Hungry Ghost
Sumi - Beasts

The first half of the season only introduces the characters with little hint of any plot. Mainly this is about Ikko being in embarassing situations with the six priestesses and his inability to have any control over his powers. Deeper into the series, they go into greater detail about Ikko's incredible powers and the antagonists who wish to gain those powers. The show directly connects with the 2nd season, Amaenaideyo Katsu.

The show itself is well animated with nice music. If you're not easily offended by sexually related content, then the show's humor is pretty hilarious. The characters are well fleshed out as they go into each character in detail as the show progresses. In my opinion, the show is worth watching and becomes very exciting in the 2nd season as you become familiar with all the characters and background information.

Hatanaka Ikko, recently begun training in his grandmothers temple to become a monk. He was sent away by his parents, and now resides at the temple. He studys are not only to become a monk, but to also control his power. He is not the only one in training though, but there are also 6 other trainees residing at the temple. All of them girls!

While the anime is amusing, has its share of some serious ecchi parts, its got a pretty decent story line to it. Though so far (Episode 7), the series hasn't dug around into much of the backgrounds of the characters, not even Ikkos. While there seems me theres some sort plot going on in the background, there hasn't been much but one event so far to suggest anything like that. The anime is mostly based on the daily life of being monk/priests in training, while mixing in being Teenagers to make things interesting, and a on going relationship between Ikko and Chitose (one of the female trainees). Sadly though, only one episode has really focused on it.
Story: 7/10

The opening song is really the most catchy peice about the series, while not the greatest, its still pretty decent. The ending song also is good. Both songs, lyrics, and the general feeling from the song fit the anime.
The sound effects for the anime are very well timed, and really add to the effect.
Music/Sound: 8/10

The animation and the general style of the anime is really good. Its one of the things that I look at to first start watching the anime. Its well done, and can't really so much more to compliment it. I like it.
Animation: 10/10

Overall, the anime is more for cutsy and ecchi fans. Cutsy cause the female characters are drawn VERY cutsy like. I give it an 8/10.

I only watched the first episode and I must say that this anime has no future!!I think the author tried to make something like "Love Hina" however he hasn't accomplished.

The story is very foolish. Our hero buddist priest Ikko lives and gets education in temple with the 6 priestests. When they have encantoured with evil spirits, they exorcises them.Of course our main character make the exorcism however the follish part is lies in here. When they couldn't be succesfull by their own power Ikko changes into some kind a super priest and guess with what way he changes to super priest."Nudity of the priestests"

The animation is good however there has some missing parts also, like the characters' face drawings are not good enough.

The music:OP song is the only good part of the musics and also it is not perfect. They are kınd a slow songs,I like musics which has tempo.

The characters are standart.Main character Ikko who tries to become priest is ordinary looking and has nose bleeding alot. The 6 priestest have no original properties which distinguish from others. The only differences seems to be the ages.
