This is, basically, a more in-depth look into the other characters of the side-cast and it certainly is nice to see the focus on the side cast for a change. Admittedly, I didn’t laugh as much as I did for Season 1, but I guess it is simply because the OVA is shorter in length compared to it. However, it is still an entertaining watch, especially with how they extend the gag of Harima’s notoriety. (Possibly the only point of time in the show where Yoshida actually gets the limelight that he was constantly yearning for hehehe ) Music and graphics are still the same (obviously) so no problem there; or rather the same complain about how its graphics is kind of an average standard – but I won’t be too critical on that: the series made me laugh and that’s all that really matters. As for the music, yup, still the same catchy and highly enjoyable OP "Scramble". In short, a must-watch for School Rumble fans.

---Overview---
For those who seen School Rumble you definitely have to see this. This two liitle OAV will give you the missing pieces of what was happened back then in School Rumble. But, please don't expect too much about the main plot. This only covers all of the side story, not the main plot. Neverthless, it's worthy to watch!
Score : 9/10

---Story---
Story's quite good. You'll see even another side for each character, what've happened during some skipped scenes, and soon. Still will cause your stomach to shake because of that laugh!
Score : 8/10

---Animation---
Pretty much the same as how the standard episodes, off course. Would be bad if animation quality dimished slightly. Glad it doesn't happen. So expect anything bad for this!
Score : 9/10

---Music---
Man, the ED theme from the 1st OAV episodes is really astonishing! It's really different from those from the episodes. Anyway, for the BGM, it's all the same. This is an OAV after all...
Score : 10/10

Since its original release, School Rumble has gathered quite a fan base for itself. As its audience gradually grew, so did the demand for a continuance of the series (the ending was not all too satisfying). Finally heeding the calls, or perhaps after letting all of us stew in our impatience, School Rumble offers another dose of that school brand comedy we have all come to know and love.

The OVA stories take place during different time frames of the original School Rumble season. Newcomers can probably get a taste for the series by watching these two OVA's. Unfortunately, they might be a little lost as to who everyone is and what is going on. To my delight, the OVA's were able to retain the same magic and minor insanity of the original. I really cannot get enough of School Rumble.

All the students and staff are back for at least a cameo appearance, if not more. What was great though was the amount of focus given to Yakumo this time around. Even though I'm an Eri fan through and through, I certainly do not mind Yakumo and her stories. I felt she was overlooked in the first season due to her older sister. A few other characters get to shine on screen, including Harima and surprisingly, Lala. Everybody else gets sort of stiffed in the development area, but if you're a returning fan, their enigmatic personalities are translated well into these OVA's and you'll be grinning as they go about their daily activities.

The sights and sounds are as fun as ever. They were able to improve on the already wonderful animation of the TV series. All the characters and settings are given a little more detail, even during the comedic sequences that do not require it. The music is basically lifted from the original, which is not bad at all. I just remember the biggest smile coming across my face as I heard "Scramble" blaring from my speakers and the title logo appear on my screen again. Good times!

The School Rumble OVA's are able to capture all the fun of the TV series. Two episodes may not seem like enough to satisfy the masses, but it whets the appetite for future things to come. I had a blast watching this and if you've seen and enjoyed the first season, the OVA's are really a no-brainer. Now, I shall wait patiently (or impatiently) for the second season. =)

Excellent, excellent! - and great humor to.

Prepping its fans for season two, School Rumble OVA is a hilarious continuation of the popular series. While it does not go into much detail, it does introduce a new character: the young hapless punk trying to imitate Harima (and failing miserably).

The 'possible' relationship between Harima and 'someone' new continues the love triangle, but is never clearly established. Expect more from the clueless group of friends as season two starts.
