Rozen Maiden is probably the cutest anime ever! It is about dolls dressed in Lolita and can talk and interact like ordinary humans and fight each other with their special powers in order to meet their father. However, apart from being a cute and hilarious anime, Rozen Maiden also packs a fair deal of impressive action and battle scenes into all the cuteness presented. Girls will love this anime, and so will guys. It has a seriously decent and intriguing storyline, some touchy moments, tremendously funny scenarios, and fantastically detailed art. Although it also has dark and depressing moments, it is overall hilarious and cute. I just love the dolls so much and how they play and fight with each other given their varied personalities ~ I love this anime so much. I love the character design of Suigintou especially much. Hinaichigo and Suiseseki are also really cute. The only thing I didn’t like about the anime was that it didn’t have an absolute ending and the second season seems a little aimless. I give it 8.5/10 !

True, Traumend is less hilarious and more focused on the plot. Perhaps that is why it gets a lower rating than season1. But does it mean that it is inferior to Rozen? I certainly don’t think so:
Story/Dev: 75%
Characters: 90%
Animation/Graphics/Design: 90%
Music:90%.
Traumend’s strong point is that the characters’ development is much stronger here. Suiseiseki was more than just a desu~ spammer, and there is a change in the personality of Suigintou. Shinku goes from her regular tsun~tsun to the dere~dere mode. The introduction of the Lapus Demon has also induced a nice dose of mystery to the series.
One bone to pick, however, is that Suigintou makes a better villain than Barasuishou. She has a more in-depth and engaging personality (particularly with her unhappy past) compared to Barasuishou, who is literally like a doll – mechanical, paper-thin personality. The series might have been better if they had extended it by a few more episodes, to allow Suigintou to have more screen time. I’m not really fan of Suigintou, but really, her revival seemed somewhat too casual (and thus neglected) in favour of more screen time for the new villain. In short, if you enjoyed the cast of season 1, I’m sure you’ll have fun watching season 2 as well.
Similar to season 1, the fight sequences are still as unspectacular as ever, though the battle in the finale was surprisingly quite enjoyable. But, of course, as said in my review in season 1, I'm not going to be critical on that aspect, since that isn't really the main point of the series.
The animation quality, on the overall however, is as fantastic, so no complains, only praises. The music is as well orchestrated as ever, though I still prefer Rozen’s OP over Traumend’s.
And on a side note, the animation for the OP is much better for Rozen than Traumend. It lacked that mythical Gothic Lolita aura which the animation for Rozen's OP managed to capture so successfully.
Summary:
Traumend has more drama to make up for the lack in comedy, so overall, in terms of enjoyment, this series is just as good as Rozen, though it was kind of a letdown that they toned down the signature “swear to me upon this Rose Ring? scene. The ending was little bit too rushed. Might have worked out even better if the last episode was made as a 1-hr special (well, 45 mins actually, after deducting the ads). All in all, I must say that the ending was very well done. No complains there. :D
Personal Overall Rating: 90%
As a whole, Rozen Maiden ( Both Seasons) is certainly a very enjoyable title – the drama, the comedies, the characters – all very unique and entertaining.
Highly recommended.

After watching the previous Rozen Maiden, I really wasn't expecting much from the sequel, Traumend. In this I was not disappointed. I was neither impressed, nor favorably surprised. The creative idea behind the story, dolls that are alive, is once again tarnished by a predictable and overall subpar story. One you can find in most other animes.
The final fight in particular, was so pathetic and predictable, I could say Jun's lines before he did. "STOP, don't do it, you'll become like her!" ::sigh:: Just once I'd like to see a character actually say "fine, I'll live with the regrets, but they won't", and kill the bad guy. Ya know, do something a bit more realistic. This whole moral play of not killing the bad guy so you don't become like them has simply been too overdone.
If you want to see something you've seen a hundred times before, by all means, consider watching this show. The plot is unsurprising, with minimal twists, and minimal humor. There is some serious drama here, but its been done before. If you are looking for something more, then give this one a pass. The whole Rozen Maiden series isn't really worth watching for more then the OP, the animation, and the terrific artwork.

More episodes to watch after season 1, that's all this is... but it was still entertaining and it also makes you think a lot about life. There's a deeper meaning behing everything that what I know. Right now I'm still waiting for season 3 but I doubt there's gonna be one.
Plot 8/10 : It's just the continuation of season 1. Two new dolls are introduced. One is a fake made by a jealous apprentice of Rozen himself. I actually didn't understand some of the story but the show itself was just entertaining. I'm kinda glad I watched this show too.
Animation 10/10 : Amazing. The fight scenes were also very well done, especially the ones at the end
Music 99999999/10 : Geez im crazy for that tune thats played with the guitar, they played it in season one when Jun kisses Shinku's ring and they play that tune several times. I've been trying to get it on guitar but I'm way off. The opening and credits were also good.
Overall 10/10 : Rozen Maiden is of course a must watch. I haven't read the manga though but the anime is really good. It's funny, has tons of drama, and is 100% entertaining.

The sequel to Rozen Maiden, I feel that it seemed to have dropped a little, after a lot of areas has been developed in the prequel. But it still stick to it’s genre, with lots of funny moments and serious moments, making it fun to watch. The ending’s a little disappointing though.
Plot
Got one step more serious into the game itself. Another evil faced sadistic creature appeared, which seem like a repeat part. Well, the bad guy reappears, so the plot structure’s actually quite similar. But the extra development with Shinku and Suiseiseki compensates for that.
Story
It still kept me laughing for moments, from the hilarious action of Hinaichigo, Suiseiseki and new character, Kanari. But compared to the prequel, it seemed to have got a little too serious on the later end, making the ending too dramatic unlike the feel of Rozen Maiden. And some characters are left unexplained, it’s a little pity.
Animation
It’s still good all around, except for the ending parts where it got a little too dramatic, clouding the animation with extra bloom. Unlike the rich colors it usually show, it got a little irritating.
Music and Sounds
Opening theme was even quirkier and intense than the first season, which still has a pretty catchy tune. The ending got a bit melancholy, but it was beautiful.
Overall
I feel that the ending didn’t really tie up properly. What Rozen Maiden: Traumend need is a complete ending for everyone, with the humor it usually gives. Maybe it doesn’t want to keep it same, but it feels better that way.

After having watched the first series, which I must say is a surprisingly good series, I just had to watch this sequel. Traumend takes place basically right after the original series. Traumend continues the story and follows Jun, Shinku, and the rest of the dolls on their quest to become Alice.
Highlights:
-The character development in Traumend seemed to be much stronger than in the original series. Many of the characters like Shinku, Hina Ichigo, and others developed rather nicely, but some of the other characters seemed to lack that development. Shinku's willingness to express her emotions more was very nice, as was Suigintou's developing relationship with Megu.
-The character designs for the new dolls seemed much more unique and vibrant than the 5 original dolls. Kanaria was probably my favorite doll because she had such vibrant colors and a much more unique look than the other dolls. Barasuisho, the other new doll, looked similar to Suigintou, but the artist may have done this to promote a dark theme for both dolls.
-The plot twist was totally unexpected. I was completely thrown off by the events that led up to the ending.
Lows:
-The animation wasn't all that great. A couple scenes had the characters' faces at an odd angle, and the odd angle led to the characters faces looking distorted and awkward. You'd think they would stop using those after a while, but the distortions showed up a few times.
-The fight scenes were definitely lacking. The last battle was extremely fluid, and the fight was amazing to watch. All the other fight scenes were completely lacking, when compared with the final fight. Granted the last fight was a minute or two at most, but it was still much better than any of the other fights.
-The worst part of this series as a whole would be the flying suitcases that all the dolls came in. The dolls, especially Souseiseki and Suiseiseki would fly all around town in broad daylight. You would think that someone would find it very odd that a suitcase is flying all over the place, but no one seems to notice.
Er...:
-The music wasn't really all too much of a factor in Traumend and the original Rozen Maiden series. I personally didn't hate it, but I didn't like it either. The ending was pleasant, but the opening was pretty bad. The background music was noticeable at times, especially during the more dramatic/depressing moments, but most of the time I didn't notice it.
-Traumend seems to lean toward romance a little, but the series quickly drops it. A romance between Jun and any one of the dolls would be very weird (though it's not the weirdest thing I've seen in an anime). It didn't really hurt the series for me, but others may find it weird.
Traumend was a much better series than the original Rozen Maiden. The first series seemed to just introduce the characters and everything that was going on. Traumend explained more of the Alice Game and the circumstances revolving around it. Some may not like the idea of fighting dolls and everything, but this series can be watched by people of all most ages. Traumend isn't something I'd recommend to just anyone, but it is a very pleasant show overall.

Ahh the second season of Rozen Maiden.
Two new dolls are introduced along with new characters. As before, the artwork is well drawn and vivid. The opening music is wonderful along with the closing. It's sad the series is 12 episodes. The storyline begins from the start of the show and a lot of emotion is given out in most episodes. They explain a few ends of the first season that left the viewers in a daze of wonderment. Ths season is able to give the audience a punch of humour, romance, action and mystery. The best blend possible. Watch this series and the first season too, if you already haven't. This series would be a 10/10 if only a bit longer.

This is the second season of the rozen maiden TV, and it doesnt disappoint.
Traumend follows through where the first series left of, of course that's to be expected of a sequel, but the focus here changes from the boy Jun, to more on the Rozen Maiden dolls and the "Alice" game. Which is a good turning point/direction on plot progression in my opinion.
I dunno what about this show i really like, it just might be the varied characteristics of the characters, specifically the persona of the dolls, the voice acting cast etc., the voices are really great choices for each character by the way.
So far there are two new dolls added, and I guess those are the last two of the seven dolls of the rozen maiden which means the end might be near.
I'm gonna cut it short as my feelings for this show is exactly alot like the first series.
Bottomline, this is a definite recommended watch! for those of course whove seen the first series, and for those who havent, go watch the first series first! theres just something magical about dolls.. scary as that sounds.. this is more a comedy with some drama(not overly dramatic) thats different enough to set it apart from the other stereotypical restrictive one direction genres of anime out there.
