1. "Yotsuya Kaidan"
Iemon is a rash character. First he killed the father of his wife. Later, he took interest in another woman and thus poisoned his wife. The poison didn't take his Wife, Oiwa, but her face turned grotesque. She knew what her husband Iemon was up to and she committed suicide. She's yet to take revenge on him.
2. "Bake Neko"
Before a woman was about to wed, she was killed by a cat beast. At least that's what a druggist claimed. Shortly after, people of the Edo Era were killed one-by-one without being seen. There is a reason behind the bakeneko's (cat beasts') actions, just what is it?
3. "Tenshu Monogatari"
The Forgotten Goddess is one who possesses powers and lives atop of the Shirasagi Castle. When a Falconer named Zushonosuke searches for his lost falcon, he falls in love with the Forgotten Goddess. However, Zushonosuke is not quite human. As the Forgotten Goddess falls in love with the Falconer, she gradually loses her powers.

One Phrase
"Hell Hath no fury like a woman scorned"
Ayakashi is a collection of three short stories that is based in the supernatural world. It is not as its title advertised a horror anime per se. It's more of a romance tragedy. What's done to the women is horrible and the guys deserve it.
This anime is steeped in Japanese theater and traditions. The characters act like they are in theater and I personally didn't quite enjoy it too much. I'm just not used to it, I guess.
The music.... Japanese rap for an OP.....it sorta worked. Definitely creative. The ending I liked, however.
The story is quite good actually. The second one about Tomihime is a great romance and definitely deserves top marks. I enjoyed Bake Neko but it's not easy getting used to. The first one wasn't too interesting for me. As I said I didn't quite get use to the Japanese theater style and the first one borrows heavily on that.
Art is definitely this series shining point for Bake Neko. My god I never thought blood splatter would be that beautiful...... the others were alright.
