While it wasn’t bad, it wasn't really memorable. There wasn’t really anything really hilarious, just very typical ones that will make you smile. This is probably one of those that won’t last long in your memories, as there really isn’t anything very memorable, and there's nothing unique worth mentioning as well.
Animation/Graphics: 65%
Music: 50%
The animation is pretty good. I like the simple but colorful graphics, and the characters are cute too. The music, however, is rather typical and easily forgotten. Characters are rather typical too.
I won't recommend this show, as there are so many other shows that are way better than this one in terms of genre and style. For one thing, I recommend watching Minami-ke instead, which is also very simple in concept, but way more hilarious. While Minami-ke is simple but very enjoyable, Kyou is simple and plain, too bland to the point of boring at times, as the pace is rather slow too.
In fact, this show is so bland that there really isn't much I can talk about.
BUT, you can watch this if you just want something short and does not consume much time to watch.

Today in Class 5-2, is one funny ass anime. However, I don't think they took the age of the characters into consideration. This makes you question the style of comedy, seeing as the studio has 11 year olds in an ecchi humor environment. This is something that can't go unnoticed by anyone, therefore it's actually a rather big disappointment.
The animation of the show is pretty much the same as Minami-ke. For those of you who haven’t seen Minami-ke then the animation is solid. The animation changes every so often, in order to make things more hilarious and it does make a rather big difference.
The characters are so so. The show mainly focuses on Ryouta and certain situations. Character development isn't done, which is to be expected with only 4 episodes. The short amount of episodes make this area of the anime hard to talk about. The characters aren’t actually funny. It's actually just the situations that the characters are put it in that make this a humorous anime.
The music is actually done well I love the OP, the ED... Not so much. The background music is usually calm and can be unnoticed sometimes. It's actually pointless to have any BGM for this anime anyways. It hardly makes any difference with the atmosphere of the anime and, like I said before it's actually not even noticeable.
To sum this anime up, it’s funny. The age thing can actually be a little disturbing sometimes, but you can eventually ignore this little fact and just laugh about it. I would recommend this anime. If you end up hating it then, it's not like you've wasted a big amount of time on it or anything.

Being written by the author of Minami-ke was why I picked up this series. Though the story and comedic styles are similar, it didn’t really come across as "interesting".
The pace of the series is really slow. Their comedic factor usually relies on ecchi humor, but c'mon, they're grade five students. Their way of showing fan service is very standard too, making every "period" very predictable. There isn't any other form of development other than these; after all, it’s just a 4 episode series.
The animation was average. Together with the slow pace of the series, it became pretty boring. The scripting is also very plain, as the characters usually have very little to say. None of the opening or ending theme got my attention.
The concept of the whole series is incredibly simple. If you are in for some quick fan service (of fifth grade students), check this one out. Otherwise, don't bother.

Kyou no 5-2 is notably the funniest anime I've seen as of lately. It brings in some pervy elements with a conflicting style of art (and characters) which makes it even more funny! People might label this as lolicon-based comedy. While the characters are extremely young (grade 5), there is no sexuality in the relationships - ie. lust.
I really love the solid lines they give for the characters. The colours they use are of huge variety for the characters, but are very subtle for the backgrounds and such. Though I wasn't a fan of it at first, the "sexy" details for the girls are quite entertaining! They really enhance the content. For the boys, they give off hilarious "old man" details, there's always a laugh - whether you're ready or not - in this anime.
The OP song is uber cute. However, it just uses clips from the anime series most of the time. The clips that are unique are this faded blur which I'm not too fond of. The reused clips aren't a big problem, however, it's always nice to see something new in the show. The ending song "Yakusoku" is quite soothing, something that suits the "maturity" of the show. I would definitely get both songs. The insert/background songs are these bell-like melodies which are very cute.
This anime surpasses every other anime. I assure that Kyou no 5-2 is likeable. It features around 5 short stories that are very engaging. My favourite short was "Collarbones", again, you'll definitely find this amusing. However, the biggest downfall is that it's just too short. It's not enough! Since this is merely an OVA series, perhaps they'll bless us with a TV series.
Watch it.

Sadly, there are only 2 episodes of this anime, and each of the episodes are divided in 5 parts, so you have 10 parts total. The story is just the average, everyday life of 8 kids, 3 boys, 5 girls, inside and outside school. Some of the humor comes from bad situations turning worse and things being taken out of context, and then some truly original stuff like an experiment on waking someone up.
The characters are nicely drawn, and distinct so you will know which character is which, but that shouldn't really matter since there are only 2 episodes. Then again, this probably should be expected of an OAV/OVA (whichever you prefer) anime.
The music is really good, with some a nice openning and closing, but as I said, you probably should expect this.
This is a nice, short, humorous tale, and it is sad to see that something like this has flown under the radar of so many anime fans. If you have an hour to kill and are looking for a nice humorous story, I recommend this.
