I love this anime so much..it have many hot guys and they are so handsome, funny and cute too! They have various different personalities for each character.. the characters developed very well. The characters i love most, of course Fujioka Haruhi, Tamaki Suou and Takashi Morinozuka xD. The opening, sakura kiss, and the ending, shissou, are also great! I really like it so i download the song in my handphone..hehe..overall, it's 10/10 :D

I personally don't enjoy straight comedy series because some try too hard to be funny and rarely hold a strong plot. Oddly, I enjoyed this series. It leaves you a nice warm feeling inside when it's all over. I have to give the series credit for heavy character development, which pretty much makes up for the lack of a strong plot.
Can't say much else because everyone else pretty much covered it. If you want something to brighten your day, this is probably a good series to check out. The random episodes were still fun watching - I believe that is the point of the series. Sit back and enjoy.

It's kind of funny. Usually, the main character is a guy and the group he's with is full of girls with ginormous boobs. This is the complete opposite.
Animation: Beautiful and enticing. It's not just because I LOVE the drawing style, but everything is crisp and there isn't a frame that is off or missing. The angles the artists use are quite fabulous, as they give a different perspective in the frames to give it a more dramatic effect.
Plot: Once you actually analyze it, all of these episodes are fillers. No one leaves or dies. But the comedy is so well written and the suspense that something incredibly important will happen grips you so much...you just can't stop watching it. Each episode contains a short little story that is different compared to any of the other episodes. I was not bored ONE BIT watching this. This is actually the only anime for ME that has such a high replay value. Truthfully saying, this is the only anime I have rewatched.
Amazing. The OP was kind of cheesy, but it worked. The classical songs throughout the anime give it a kind of sophisticated sparkle, but it is funny at the same time. You could be laughing your ass off while there's dramatic music playing. The ED was very good. I liked listening to the song.
Overall, the music was quite memorable. Music is usually whatever to me in an anime, but this one really got to me.
Three key things: the comedy, animation, and the overall sparkle of the anime. This was truly eye candy.

I can't help myself to love everything in this series. One of the most hilarious cast ever assembled.
Very interesting plot and funny story. I love the fact how rich kids change when people are not around and doing their own stupid things. I am not talking about just rich kids, but very rich kids interacting with a lovely commoner who never considered them being different.
One of the cutest chibi versions ever drawn in an anime. They manage to animate all the feelings every character exerts. I like the fact that even this is not a serious anime, the animation is so good and they all have consistent movements.
One of the greatest casts of characters ever assembled. Haruhi is so cute and lovely,
Tamaki is hilarious, and Hikaru is cool.
Sakura Kiss is one of my favorite anime songs of all time and the BGMs along the series are very refreshing.
You can never be bored in watching this and this anime had one of the greatest endings I've ever scene. I had a great time watching this and still wanting for more.

[Story: 9.0] I like Ouran High School Host Club for how it is an affectionate parody of the various clichés of the shojo genre. It has its fair share of drama and romance, though nothing too serious, as overall, the series maintains a light-hearted atmosphere. One of the many challenges that a series faces is how it handles the transition between (and the subsequent delivery of) comedy and more serious moments. To cite recent examples, shows like Kurenai pulled it off well while Seitokai no Ichizon failed and appropriately enough, Seitokai plays with the shonen side of things to Ouran’s shojo parodies. When it's funny, Ouran is downright hilarious and it remains so despite that I have re-watched it several times, and when it's on its more sentimental scenes, they are executed well. Also, I like how the anime nicely balanced faithfulness to the manga and studio modifying some of the scenes by adding its own materials. Last but not least, the ending is pretty good, considering that the manga is still on-going.
[Characters: 8.5] What makes the characters interesting is that the club members are there not only as parodies of their archetypes. Shedding past their 'host club roles', there are depths in their personalities (other than maybe Mori and Huney). In addition, the protagonist herself being 'unlady-like' adds to the charm of the show. Of Haruhi's indifference towards the member's crazy antics: the fact that Maaya Sakamoto later on voiced as Ryougi Shiki (Kara no Kyoukai) made Ouran even more enjoyable on re-watching.
[Art: 7.5] The art style is simple and the bright animation suits the light nature of the series. Nothing aesthetically stunning but then again, for a comedy, it's fine.
[Music: 7.0] While the bgms are generally suitably chosen, I didn't really like the theme songs, rather, it was more of average to me, so yeah.
[Summary] Highly recommended for just about anyone. Great comedy, light romance, interesting characters and most importantly, high re-watch value.
Personal Overall Rating: 9.0

I shied away from this one at first, thinking it was going to be silly and fluffy. And it was silly and fluffy, but it was played for laughs. In short, it was hilarious. The played-up stereotypes, the cute plots and the genuine good nature of the majority of the characters made this anime charming to watch.
I didn't give it a 10 because I thought that the final plot could have been drawn out a little bit more and could have been a little deeper, and I wasn't overly-fond of the pale color choices. Also, I thought that maybe Haruhi was a little hard on the boys after a while. She could have warmed up to them just a little more than she did.
However, my nitpicks about "Ouran High School Host Club" are just that. Nitpicks.
The characters are great, and they spend a good amount of time establishing each one, with good back story on all of them except for the last "villain." I also found myself actually rooting for characters I don't normally root for, and that was a really nice change of pace. It made the series pretty satisfying.
Definitely worth a second watch.

If this anime could be described in a word it would be 'light'. It's a perfectly crafted dose of fluff with a surprising rewatchability factor.
Animation: The animation is very pretty. Not gorgeous or breathtaking like a Kyoto production, but pretty and well-suited to the series. The boys are pretty, the girls are pretty, the school is pretty. Everything is very bright and colorful, and the character designs are very true to the original manga designs. 8/10
Story: 'Ouran' doesn't take itself seriously and that's what makes it so good. The ending was a bit rushed, although the producers are to be applauded for taking the best available bits from the manga and giving it a solid ending instead of dragging it out like many shows tend to do. I didn't take issue with the ending itself as much as how fast it came about. A lot happens in two episodes that easily could have been put into a few more without ruining the integrity of the show. Despite the mediocre ending, each episode in itself becomes an enjoyable entity. 8/10
Characters: If there was ever a character to inspire the feeling of 'moe' in a woman's heart it's Tamaki Suou. Amidst an amazing cast of characters (each who rotate with different plotlines throughout the series, much like a harem show) Tamaki stands out and through excellent character development, you see how his character has affected each of the other Host Club members individually; Kyoya Otori especially.
Of course no harem show would be complete without the central protagonist and Haruhi Fujioka is anything but milquetoast. Straightforward and direct to a fault, Haruhi is also incredibly dense about her own feelings, and the feelings other people have towards her. This fault makes her genuinely likeable and well out of reach of being labeled a Mary-sue.
The Hitachiin twins, who irritated me to no end throughout the first half of the series, were developed so well that Kaoru actually became one of my favorites. Even side characters like Nekozawa and Renge were well thought out and frequently hilarious. Out of this cast only one character falls flat, Eclair, mainly due to the rushed ending. 10/10
Music: Like many an anime, the background music is mostly slower or different versions of the opening and ending themes. Luckily, the ending theme, 'Last Alliance' was great and the opening, 'Sakura Kiss' was okay, although after a few episodes you'll find yourself skipping through it. 8/10
Overall: The fact that this show focused on the comedy aspect with only undertones of romance is what really makes it a success. It's fun, funny, and has a lighthearted story that doesn't get preachy. Now is the time to find out why all those cosplayers are roaming around in powder-blue blazers! 9/10

Ouran High School Host Club. I started this anime due to the many many recommendations.. at first it wasn't really attractive. But halfway past the anime you'll be hooked for sure. It's more comedy-ish than romantic, but it's strange how the anime has a way of bringing out something from the midst of all the hilarious scenes.
So once you've finished the anime, you'll think: Oh, there's so much more than what meets the eye.
Besides, this anime openly pokes fun at over-serious animes, by using the same expressions, only to end up in some funny manner. Am i making sense?! Anyway, you'll get it when you watch it! It's like, ROFL funny. Almost every episode was a total stress reliever.
The opening theme was really catchy too. Usually i'll just skip the music at the front, but i ended up listening to it a few episodes down.
Awww, i want more. No wonder everyone rates it so high! >.<
Highly recommended if you need time to laugh like a lunatic. :D

Ouran High School Host Club is most likely the funniest anime I have ever seen. It's as said in the end of the show -"Ouran private academy is defined by... one, prestigious families and two, wealth.... thus this ouran host club is about these handsome guys that have time to give hospitality to these lovely ladies that also have time and make profit off them. It's an elegant game unique to this super-rich school.... from the bottom of our hearts, we will be waiting for your arrival!" I really think that there isn't enough words to describe how amazing and funny this show is.
The story was excellent - it went in depth about Haruhi and her life. Also, they managed to touch each of the other characters' lives and personalities so you became attached to each and every one of them, especially Kaoru and Hikaru and how Haruhi became so special to them. And also how they explored the relationships each member has with each other, how they became this "reverse harem family" ha ha.... Loli shota.....
The correct word would be "yummy." Such refreshing, young, well-built guys.... all that was missing was some twins doing homo-erotic misdeeds.... oh... wait, they have it.... ;)
I don't recall ever seeing such hot guys all together devoting themselves to the happiness of ladies.
Plus, I really enjoyed seeing the expressions they made for different situations.
The characters really made this show great. The mischievous twins and the loli-shota "Honey-senpai" with his bff "Mori-senpai" the shady character. Kyouya-senpai with his wits and charm and, of course, Tamaki-senpai, the most charming naive and pure hearted. And they are all sooo very hot!!
The ending was amazing. It was always with great sync to the end of the storyline, each time making you have that silly smile when it begins. And the opening was quite funny - "kiss kiss fall in love," never taking it self too seriously...
Ouran High School Host Club is the best anime I have ever had the pleasure of watching; it is funny and refreshing beyond words. This anime is for every one who enjoys laughing...

Ouran High School Host Club is a romantic comedy the comedy can be exaggerated to a certain degree but it's still hilarious, changing the animation to show the expression of the character is something I've always liked though at times it will seem more comedy than romance roughly 3/10.
The character development is done well not just switching to one character and then the next, I guess my fav is Tamaki what with him being an idiot and all, but all characters are unique and are likable although there wasn't much depth for most of them which can be disappointing.
The music was never really noticed by me apart from the OP and ED, the ED mostly. Trust me, you will agree. The music is mostly classical. I guess it's used to portray the classy environment, but it's not like a big deal or anything they use different music for the more emotional parts or funny parts which can somewhat capture you but you can easily slip out.
The animation will seem odd at first but something you can adjust to and you will understand the reason they do this as the art style is used to show how fun and enjoyable this anime is, but its not to colorful so that you'd have to look away. Again they use different animation during comedy moments and they can make it dark during sad moments.
Ouran High School Host Club only has a few memorable moments but it's a fun anime with there own style its not amazing but its not terrible if your upset over something this will definitely cheer you up. Some of the best things about this anime is the way its ends and how characters seem to pop up out of nowhere each completely different from another but sometimes it can be a bit weird (twins), jokes are repeated and conversations can sometimes go nowhere but this is something you should forget about it and just move on. This Anime is worth the watch and something you may find incredible if you like comedy more then romance but if your into romance your more likely to be a little disappointed.

I was curious as to the reason why Ouran has recently joined the likes of GTO as a fan favorite. I was close to dismissing this as nothing more than a girl’s only show. Thankfully, I decided to give Ouran a chance and look beyond the ‘shoujo-esque’ animation on offer. What I found was a sugar-coated gem!
The animation is very colorful and bright. It reflected the very cheerful and playful mood of the show. The characters were (ahem) ‘beautiful’ to look at. If your animation tastes aren’t use to the demands of shoujo, you might have felt unsettled by the abundance of pretty boys on show. I’m certain that the ladies out there would have loved seeing all these hunks (but not for most heterosexual males!). The character design was excellent and original.
Aside from the multitude of extremely funny moments and misunderstandings, there wasn’t that much in the way of a main story. It was more a case of following the lives and backgrounds of the various club members during their privileged adventures. In that regard, it felt rather superficial. There definitely was more of a focus on developing a comedy element than any serious plot. I suppose the last 6-8 episodes remedied this with some insightful episodes that dealt with the club’s past and history. Again, the (lack of) story was geared more for creating laughs than developing anything overbearingly serious.
Once again, it was rather superficial and there could have been more of an effort to really look into the past of some characters. I just had the impression that they were more interested in just having fun. Thankfully the latter half of the show started showing some meaningful episodes that looked more into a particular individual’s past and character. Hikaru and Kaoru were a case in point. Aside from their incest-laden homoerotica, there was quite a deep history of their past relationships with others. Ouran could shown more episodes like this instead of the one or two. I felt that there could have struck a better balance against the humor if the show had more character-driven episodes.
Kawabe Chieko’s "Sakura Kiss" was a really catchy and enjoyable OP. Along with Last Alliance’s "Shissou", the music in Ouran was top notch and suited the overall pace, mood and light-heartedness of the show. Some of the brief piano pieces played by Tamaki were just beautiful.
There isn’t that much going wrong for Ouran. It’s an emotionally bright, vibrant and colorful anime. I found Ouran to be an incredibly enjoyable and fun show to watch. If you are looking for a light-hearted comedy, Ouran is certainly an excellent choice. If your tastes are for a more ‘serious’ comedy (a contradiction in terms if ever there was one) then this might appear to be immature. Nevertheless, Ouran quite rightfully is a firm fan favorite and is highly recommended viewing.

What can I say about a show that takes the harem genre and turns it on its head, providing one of the zaniest female-oriented animes I’ve ever seen? Heck yeah!
Ouran High School Host Club delights in taking common stereotypes --whether of rich boys, fangirls, foreigners, even anime in general—and unabashedly having fun with them all. Reverse harems have been done, but never as flamboyantly as with this gaggle of impossibly rich, charming, handsome boys. And never with a heroine like this. She somehow looks cute as a girl and a guy, is intelligent and independent, and is impervious to romantic advances. It’s the many little quirks that make this show different and often surprising.
Certain events are improbable even for a show like this. Some episodes, especially in the beginning, move too slowly. The lovey-dovey twincest is also a major turn off at first.
But the faults are far outweighed by what this show accomplishes – a different kind of romantic comedy that both celebrates and pokes fun at the shoujo genre. It takes one’s expectations and tweaks them enough to make familiar things seem new. And while it can be touching or even sad, most of all it’s meant to be fun.
It’s not particularly deep and doesn’t always make sense, but that’s not why we watch romantic comedies. For what it’s meant to do, it does it very well, so I give Ouran High School Host Club a 9/10.

Well, where do I begin?
I was relatively well-aquainted with the world of anime when I first watched Ouran, and had even discovered the astonishing world of Fruits Basket, which is no men feat for a rookie from less than a year ago. But, I had already worked out the the simple pattern for animes, and the specific storylines/characters/etc for each genre. But Ouran (and Furuba) had atsonished me in a way I had never seen.
I discovered Ouran through recommendation of another fellow otaku, and I thought it seemed fun. Starting the first episode was one of the best anime experiences of my life (anime-wise). The theme tune started, and I was already finding myself singing along. By two minutes, I was in stitches. By halfway through the episode, I was rolling on the floor in a Tamaki-style. By the end of the credits, I was crying with laughter and applauding. it was, without a doubt, one of the best things I have ever seen.
10/10: A total sing-along intro and a gorgeous ending. Impeccable voice acting, some of the best I've ever seen.
10/10: So obviously the the strongest point of the show. All characters had sufficient space to grow (except possibly Mori-sempai, who still seemed to steal the show in episode 22).
Tamaki Suou is definitely my all-time favorite - I think it is quite impossible to top him. Hilarious, knicker-wettingly funny and adorable, plus such tender emotions any girl (and boy) would find themselves almost unable to not fall in love with him.
Kyouya Ootori is much more refined - his character is difficult to pinpoint, but even though he may appear as the 'Shadow King' as Haruhi so adequately puts it, and pure evil, his sensitivity and genuine affection for those around him is definitely there. Even though in the end he 'proves' his evilness over all...
The two twins, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitaiichin, are intriguing. Two 'homo' appearing brothers, it is any girls fantasy to be loved by two gorgeous boys simultaneously, and they use this. Still holding deep affection for each other, their past is still left blurred. Much is hinted at, some is shown, but most is left unsaid... and no, they are not Fred and George.
Mistkuni Haninozuka (Honey-senpai) Is quite my 'type'. I wouldn't actually go in for him as a lover, he is someone I couldn't just resist to have as my 'Host'. Small, adorable and always eating sweets, he the cutest thing ever (Apart from his bunny.) And yet, his mysterious martial arts skills were kind of a surprise....
Takashi Morinozuka has the smallest part to play. Distantly related to Honey-senpai. They have a close relationship, like brothers. Barely uttering a word, yet he comes so close to stealing the show is most episodes. Though in episode 22, he really comes into his own - and is actually quite hilarious.
Haruhi Fujioka is the main protagonist - secretly a female, she is very different than the usual shojo heroine. Clever, sarcastic and with a killer tongue, she is a refreshing break from the usual ditzy lead. Though I don't think it would work a second time. Perhaps her only failing is being extremely dimwitted and clueless when it comes to how others feel about her, which is both tearing-your-hair-out frustrating and so very funny. However, she is extremely good at (unconsciously) giving mainly emotional advice. But this talent also backfires at giving insults.
9/10: So very awesome and different, I just felt it didn't really go anywhere, and the ending was a bit unsatisfactory and rushed.
I prefer to watch my anime subtitled, rather than dubbed. Subbed by LunarAnime, it is the most accurate, professional, clear and attractive subbings I have ever, ever seen. It also helped it was the same translation all the way through.
9/10: One of the funniest things ever created, hilariously-knicker-wettingly funny with scenes to make you cry, this is definitely one to remember.

This is a thoroughly excellent anime. The anime parodies harem animes and openly makes fun of them. The series has many great scenes, all of them are unforgettable. Like most comedies there really isn't much of a story so my score is based almost purely on the characters and how well they were done in the anime. Don’t be discouraged from watching this anime it is by far one of the best.
The Characters…. nothing beats these guys. They are rich, spoiled, and not afraid to bask in a pool of money when the opportunity presents itself. You'll find out the type of gags that'll go on in this show when the anime start introducing the type of "host" each of the main characters are portraying. I find they are well drawn and their personalities are wonderfully fleshed out. Although this anime appears to aim at girls, most of the female characters are really just a squealing fan club devoid of intelligence except for Haruhi.
I especially enjoyed the main character Haruhi. For a harem anime it's usually a kind-hearted guy that is average in every single way or it's a girl that is diffident (and also average in every other way). Haruhi on the other hand has a sharp mind, and can hold her own in a heated argument. She of course is average physically and the anime ensures we don't forget that; she is the only girl the guys in the host club never called Princess, Fair Lady etc. But I find that her strength in observation and sharp wits is a refreshing departure from the tired harem comedies.
Lastly, Music. I generally don't care much about this category but I found the music in this anime marvelous. It is opulent or just absurdly rich. Every time something happens a full blown orchestral piece is played or it's a waltz for calmer times.
10/10. I think this series has not done anything significantly bad that warrants me to lower the score.

Ouran High School Host Club was definitely a pleasant surprise for me as it's one of the rare romance comedies that didn't degenerate into needless fan service and shallow plot.
9/10: Catchy into and ending songs and the voice-acting was top-notch.
10/10: Definitely the strongest aspect of OHSHC. While zany and oftentimes hilarious, I felt that each member of the club were sufficiently developed (with the possible exception of Mori) enough to the contribute to the overall story. Even the side characters (except for the students from the all-girls school) were adequately developed and enjoyable.
9/10: Unlike most comedies, the plot progressed and the ending was probably one the best I've ever seen for this type of genre.
9/10: Funny and memorable, OHSHC definitely made enough of an impression on me to be re-watched. Definitely worth watching.
