Synopsis :
Translated as roughly "The Commanding Officer's Rather Quiet Day" is a one shot OAV about a day in life of everyone's favorite other FMP girl, Tessa Testarossa.
Tessa is all excited about Sergeant Sagara's return to base for a day and is determined to get closer to his heart. This is more of a comedy that brings it closer to Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu than The Second Raid.

This certainly was more of an OVA to Fumoffu! rather than to TSR. With that said, it certainly was very entertaining. While Fumoffu! concentrates on the school-life, this OVA looks into the cast in the military. Indeed, the focus has now shifted from Sagara, Chidori and their school-life (mis)adventures to the little details of the Mithril members. As such, much of the hilarity comes from the side cast who rarely had much screen time, and here we get to see them pull gag after gag with straight faces. From the revelation of Groseaux being a closet anime watcher to the queer taste of Kalinin and his “unique" cooking technique —all of whom, in the main series, are usually being portrayed as serious, no-nonsense characters. Surprisingly, Kurtz Webber was the one with less screen time in this OVA, since he is usually the joker of the series. But of course, there is also Tessa and her trademark klutziness.
The animation quality is as good as it was for TSR, so no issue there. I can’t comment much for the music either, as there is little music in the OVA. All in all, definitely a must watch for FMP fans, particularly if you enjoyed Fumoffu!. Pity it was only 1 OVA.

Haha… Well I could say that this OVA is more like a follow up from FMP Fumoffu Series rather than it’s FMP The Second Raid (TSR) as well as it’s first Season FMP. The animation quality and standard is solid and as good as GONZO can offer. For those who have watched FMP should know.
I find this OVA to be rather hilarious hence I categorize this to be at the same line with Fumoffu but I wonder why it was at the same stream line with FMP TSR. Anyways, this OVA is about an Off day for the everyone in Mithrill. In any cases is more concentrate on Tessa, so all Tessa’s fan please REJOICE~!! Yeehaa~!!!
Ahem… basically it tells how Tessa and others spend their rarely obtain off day. Is really hilarious seeing how those serious looking officers and commander to be actually a great joker without they themselves knowing it. I highly recommend this series to all.
