Synopsis :
Fantine and her daughter Cosette have traveled from Paris to a small town to find work and lodging. However, it is almost impossible since Fantine is a single mother. A baker then suggests factory work that is further off town. Fantine gives a local Inn one last shot in finding a job but there is no luck. She then mentions about the factory work out of town, and they suggest that it will be very difficult finding work with a child, they even offer to look after Cosette temporarily until she finds work and settles in. Fantine hesitates at first, but since there isn't any other solution, she puts Cosette under the care of the Inn owners and leaves to find work.
As Fantine turns her back and heads toward the factory, she has no idea of what's in store for her poor daughter Cosette.
