Storyline/plot: 7/10
This is a supernatural love comedy anime involving cute characters who are actually 'monsters' such as vampire, succubus, witch and snow-woman. Having said this, the story begins quite typically (boy meets beautiful girl accidentally style) and proceeds with daily dose of 'battles' that usually ends pretty quick. The story mainly focus on how Tsukune survive his daily high school life in this supernatural school filled with many strong monsters who despise humans and how he hides his human identity. Most of the anime was filled with ecchi humour/comedy, cheesy stuffs and tons of fanservice. However, this anime manages to provide a short but good conclusion.
Character Development: 8/10
Each character was given enough time to show their personalities through the events that happened throughout the whole series. There was a good focus on the main characters; Tsukune, Moka, Kurumu, Yukari and Mizore.
Animation /Graphics: 8/10
The huge amount of fanservice and panties shots did not really suit my liking. The character designs were detailed and rather lovely and unqiue. Battle scenes were well made and background sceneries were quite well drawn.
Songs/Music: 8/10
The opening theme, "COSMIC LOVE" by Nana Mizuki was pretty good and the ending theme, "Dancing in the velvet moon" by Nana Mizuki was rather contrasting as it seems too serious for such a comedy/romance anime.
Overall: 8/10
It is fun to watch Rosario to Vampire as it contains plenty of comedy, a little drop of romance and a vault full of fanservice shots. A great anime for fans who like plenty of ecchi comedy and wouldn't really mind a weak storyline.

Junk-food harem has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, and this is definitely that.
Story: Admittedly, this show uses a tired, cliche premise as its framework, then proceeds into an episodic monster-of-the-week format for most of the series, but since when was an anime being divided up into episodes a bad thing? (Naruto, probably...) That aside, the pacing works quite well with the introduction of the recurring characters ( i.e.: Tsukune's harem); the episode storylines often leave you laughing out loud, and the last few episodes build to an extremely satisfying conclusion that proves that they did actually know what they were doing and leaves some very interesting questions in the air for season 2.
Characters: Any way you slice it, Tsukune is a cliche, so let's just forget about him for the moment and focus on what matters: his harem. There's Moka (the vampire with the rosary), Kurumu (a succubus oddly attracted to Tsukune), Yukari (a witch and obligatory loli), and Mizore (a snow woman and Tsukune's very own stalker). Together they form the Newspaper Club (don't ask) and one of the oddest, most hilarious character dynamics I've ever seen. But even without all that, Moka's true form (sealed by the rosary she wears, which can only be removed accidentally, and even then only by a human) makes the show worth watching (she's just that cool!).
Music: The opening is typical light, bouncy harem fare, while the ending is the opposite: dark, gothic, and intense (think Castlevania). It was made more impressive by the fact that it's performed by the same person. The background music follows the same pattern: light and cutesy versus epic and serious. This contrast works really well for the series, especially in later episodes.
Animation: Actually, the animation is the only place where I really take off points. Most of the time it's fantastic, especially in the frequent action sequences (it is GONZO after all), but every so often (a bit more than that, unfortunately), it just looks... off somehow. Not enough to detract form the overall quality, but just enough for it to stick in your mind as a recurring issue.
All in all, it's an extremely clever reinvention of the harem genre, with clever plotlines and generally hilarious character interactions, and the tiniest splash of the supernatural. Anyone will enjoy it so long as he or she remembers not to take it too seriously. Laugh; it's funny.

The first time I watch this anime I was immediately hooked to it.
Plot/story:
The story is all about a teenage boy who was unable to get accepted to high school, but through an amusing circumstance, ended up being accepted. On his first day of class, while trying to find his way to the school, he stumbled upon a very beautiful girl. They immediately became friends and the boy said that he will surely have a nice time in his new school. Little is he aware of what kind of school he is entering or the true identity of the girl.
It's presented in a 1 monster per episode format, and new characters are introduced gradually also in the same form, so it might be a little boring, but for people who love harem and fan-service, there is but little annoyance for enjoying the show.
Animation:
As expected of GONZO, the animation is superb, the movement is very fluid, and the girls are really cute - very nice for any harem shows. The fan-service is a plus!
Music:
The OP and ED is nice, very appropriate for the show. Background music is also superb! I especially like it when Aono and Moka goes in blushing while saying each others name and the background is like "lalalalala...lalala...lalalalala." It's really cute and hilarious!
Overall:
I like the anime in general. It's only 13 episodes, not much room for character development. I wish to see more development on the relationship of the main characters, but dragging the story any longer might kill the fun factor of the show, so I just have to bear it.
Recommended for anyone who loves romance, comedy, fantasy, harem and fan-service.

When I started watching this series, I had high hopes for Rosario + Vampire. I enjoyed the manga, silly as it was, and I hoped that the anime would bring what I enjoyed about the manga to life. While it succeeded in some respects, in many others it failed.
I'll start with what was good about this series. The animation, the artwork, the visuals were top notch. Extremely well done. The music likewise, particularly for me the ED was excellent. Also, while some may not enjoy it, I rather enjoyed the fanservice.
The bad points of the anime however for me, overwhelmed the positives. The plot was pathetic, amounting to nothing more then introducing a new character every week, as well as a new monster for Mokas vampire form to defeat. After awhile, this formula becomes tedious. I mentioned that I enjoy fanservice. However the level of it felt that the series was nothing more then excuse for it.
Overall, I can't really recommend this series, for anything apart from fanservice. If you like that, then this series might be worth watching, at least once. If you enjoyed the manga, you likewise will probably enjoy watching this at least one time. Otherwise, I'd pass on this series. Its extremely forgettable, apart from some good music.

Overall this show was fun and cute. The characters were wonderfully drawn and the abilities were fun as well. My only gripe about the animation was the magical girl transformation that was included in the show. Thankfully they shortened it fairly quickly but I think that the transformation scene that was put in just took away from the effect of the show.
While they did deviate from the manga it was not really very extreme. They ended up putting the climax in the anime being just one of the sub climaxes that were shown in the manga. I guess they are leaving it open to another season. They brought in all the girls in the manga very early, I guess it was to make the show more harem like and give the show more variety in potential.
I liked the show I may rewatch it but not any time soon. If they make a second season I will watch that as well.
