Genre : Slice of Life - Drama - Comedy
Synopsis : Nozomu is always in despair. He has extreme likes and dislikes. For one, he can't handle women AT ALL. Any sexual behavior from a woman will result in massive nosebleeds. Another extreme aversion for Nozomu is lotus roots; they simply send shivers down his spine! When Nozomu is mistaken for a Hamasho heretic (bashing a "religion"), he is targeted for massive torment and torture among all Hamasho devotees. These devotees take advantage of his extreme dislikes for lotus root, and extreme precaution over women; and these actions drive Nozomu to a deserted island. At least, he thinks it's deserted. This is the beginning of the pitiful life of "Mr. Despair".
Sequel to the anime series, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

In the first season, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei gave the first half of the season to introducing the characters, and the second half to just some random nonsense. Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei showed me that the series is actually all about the latter half of the first season; random nonsense.
Not that it’s boring, mind you. It’s just that during the introduction part, there is some continuity and a featured cast; at least with character development, there seemed to be some story involved. But in this second season, 12 episode of random nonsense gets quite tiring. It’s usually about issues that I didn’t really care about too.
The artwork pretty much remained the same throughout as the first season, using SHAFT’s new art style (refer to my first season review). This season had a new cool OP, but it probably wasn’t as good as the first. The ED wasn’t very impressive though.
It’s enjoyable, but not to the extent I wish it was.
