As said in previous reviews, this show is... boring. While the idea behind the show is interresting, a girl who loves to play the piano. The events in this show or both linear and uninterresting.
Supported by a good level of animation and a nice soundtrack (as you'd expect from a show based on piano). The story drags on for 10 episodes. Each episode simply covers a event in the life of the girl. All this to reach to end of the serie where she is ready to go on.
For those who enjoyed show based on the progress of a character, there exist plenty of other show in that category, most of them being more interresting.

This series is not for those looking for action. It is strictly drama. The story follows Nomura Miu as she discovers love, responsibility and confidence. A coming of age story, Piano has not much of a plot, just the feeling of warmth and nostalgia for its viewers.
I really like this series as it shows how the main character developed through her critical year in life. You will get a nice pleasing feeling watching Piano. However, be warn that this series goes at slow pace and may not satisfy everyone's taste.
Overall, if you have the time and money or looking for something to cheer you up, give Piano a try. A great anime in my opinion.

I didn't find this anime series the most amazing thing in the world. It was actually quite - I can't find the word but there wasn't much going on. In other words, it was boring. I would have thought that with 10 episodes, a lot would happen, but I'm glad that nothing out of the ordinary happened. This is what you would call pure shoujo, girly inspirational type of anime. I'm sorry, but I enjoy comedy type animes. Although this was very inspirational and motivational with the piano music leaving a nice comfortable feeling, it lacked action - I'm not talking about drama or even blood killing violence, just suspense, an interesting problem to overcome.
Honesty comes forth when I say that I would have given this anime an even lower rating, but the cat Mew, captured my attention and kept me watching. At least I can say the music was nice. I didn't quite like the plot (what was the plot anyway?) The "plot" was just random things, maybe that's what they wanted to imply, I guess I didn't catch it.
Although I may not know much about music compared to others, there were some pieces where I heard it was out of tune - but it could be just my ears. I play the sax, clarinet, and the flute so I guess I can't assume things like that. Would I recommend this anime? I'm not too sure myself, maybe to a person who needs a calming anime series or maybe to crazy romantics, which aren't many people. I certainly won't recommend it to people who enjoy comedy-type anime series. I didn't find anything funny in this anime.
