Ok, I have to admit that I used to be a HUGE fan of Dragonball Z. I do know what I'm talking about when I say that this movie is absolutely wrong when it is put along with the timeline of the whole series. It happens before the Z fighters go to Namek and after they fought Nappa and Vegeta. The thing is everyone is in the movie; Piccolo, Tien, Goku... the whole bunch. For anyone who was/is a fan of the series, you would realize that in between the Vegeta fight and the Namek saga, Yamcha, Tien, and Chaozu were all killed... Oh well that's only part of the reason I didn't like this movie. The reasons I didn't like this movie are plentiful.

The characters are lame. A new set of lame bad guys are added to the cast of already lame DBZ characters ( Vegeta is pretty cool but he doesn't show up in this ). The plot is absolutely horrid. They plant a tree and that tree takes over the world, bad animes always seems to have a giant tree in it that sucks energy ( *cough* Sailormoon ). The animation isn't too bad, unlike the series, it doesn't repeat scenes in order to save money. The fights were also decent, no random explosions to represent fighting in this one.

The decent qualities don't make up for the lack of good characters or the lack of plot. I will give it 3 out of 10.
