Daa! Daa! Daa! = utter randomness + cute fluffiness
Animation: Cute, and simple. The way the children are drawn may make you want to squeal with delight the first time you lay eyes upon them, especially the baby. It's practically screaming of cuteness (and it really fits the storyline.).
Storyline: There's a basic plot, but it's not really emphasized that much. What you get instead is a random series of episodes that deal with lots of comedy. Sure, they progress with the plot on some episodes, but most of this series is just comedy fillers.
Characters: Very energetic and hyperactive. Though they may go to the extremes because of what they like, it all adds up to the comedy (besides, anime usually has extremists. However, this anime went far too much to the point that it sometimes got ridiculous.) Character development is usually only progressed in the certain episodes where they also deal with the main plot.
Music: The type that gets stuck in your head on random days for years to come. There's nothing special about it.
Conclusion: Silly, fluffy, with not too much plot. It emphasizes cuteness and comedy and is slow to progress. Great for people who just want to relax. I didn't actually like it that much because of the ridiculousness of the characters.

Daa! Daa! Daa! A wonderful story that is easy to watch and full of funny incidents!!
As two young schoolkids (boy and girl) are living under the same roof, with two aliens, things happen everyday. Characters such as a care-free monk who is the father of Kanata, is totally weird and dopey. Mikan, the mad manga author, has an orange plonked onto her head always, and as she gets inspired.. it grows bigger..=S
A scary, easily-jealous beautiful rich girl, Christine, due to her strong 'love' for Kanata, she can sense him a mile away and recognise his shampoo....
This story is hilarilously interesting and the animations looks so funny!! Like when they are drawn like squids.. with their arms waving like waves... (see for yourself)... love it man.
Also, the baby, Ruu is sooo cute!! his voice is just...adorable!! Not only that, when Chris starts talkin to herself.. her voice changes deep and her speech speeds up... cracks me up!!
I just love this anime because you never know what can bring the two main characters together. What is going to happen at the end? I don't know yet.. but I desperately want to. When is Ruu (alien) going to return to his planet? Will he want to at the end?
The animation entertains you and what happens in every episode contains something that you can guess... which makes this anime satisfying. I truly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a cute and funny anime!

A charming tale about two people getting stuck with an alien baby (Ruu) and his shape shifting "pet-Sitter" , in the beginning our main protagonists (Kanata and Miyu) hate each other, Kanata is the strong silent type and Miyu is more of the loud abrasive personalities. As the story progresses, the two start to grow feelings for each other, all the while having some whacky adventures with some crazy friends (your average split-personality super strong goes insane at the drop of a hat type friend) and the attachment to the child Ruu growing with each episode, Daa Daa Daa will keep you smiling every episode.
Gripes:
* Randomness (hmmm....psycho chic suddenly able to pick up an entire building....SSJ4?)
* Slow story development (around the 58th episode and it still feels like i'm watching the first 3
Praises:
* Wholesome (seriously its one of the few animes i've seen that doesnt have some sort of hentai innuendo)
* Funny (ya its got some good laughs)
* Decently Drawn characters (may not sound like something worth noting but trust me, i've seen some poorly animated animes)

It's a light-hearted, romantic, comedy filled with zaniness and oddities.
People that take themselves too seriously and try to make sense of zany and odd things happening are not the target audience. This is for people that just want to chuckle and enjoy a little off-the-wall antics and things that just don't make sense.
If that is the case, then this anime is for you. If you are a fan of FLCL, Abenoshi Magical Shopping Arcade, Simpsons and Atashin'chi, you'll definitely enjoy this one.

Good things:
Daa! Daa! Daa! is one of the funniest anime series. The characters are very alive and energetic to make this anime hilarious. The animation always maintains colorful, cute, and beautiful from the first episode to the last.
Bad Things:
Being a self-contained anime makes some of its episodes useless to watch, making you wanna skip them. That's the only thing bad though.

Before I start my review, I am going to say this: I grade based on art, animation, pacing, characterization etc.
Daa! daa! daa! didn't impress me. It can be compared to Archie comics -- going out with friends, out on dates, vacation with friends etc. They don't take things too seriously, most of the episodes are just plain ridiculous or too bizzare and crazy. In one episode for example -- Miyu's father visits the temple and intends to stay a while because he had a BIG argument with Miyu's mother abroad. Miyu wastes no time to get them talking to each other again ( sounds deep? ). After a few scenes, the parents meet again in Japan ( anime land ) and their argument was settled. Not until I found out that their BIG argument is about her mother eating all the jars of pickles!!! WTF was that?! It's so stupid and is not the least bit funny. I must admit that I laughed and chuckled a bit in most of the episodes because they all act silly and dumb. I found myself skipping some of the episodes ahead and still I didn't got lost in the story.
Cutesy art ain't my glass of Coke. I got the feeling that the character designers are a bit lazy, when there are too many people to draw; the result is many drawn out-lined designed characters. Maybe it is for comical situations or it's just me. However the animation is kinda good, well-drawn backgrounds and colorful characters. The pacing is okay and all of the characters have sufficient silly backgrounds.
Daa! Daa! Daa! is a total waste of time. It's not bad, it's not good either, it's just too cute, silly and dumb.
If cutesy is your style, it's better to watch Card Captor Sakura than Daa! Daa! Dumb!

Daa Daa Daa, or at least what I've seen of it, is incredibly cute.
The jokes in the series are generally original because they center around a telekinetic baby that has a transformable sitter-pet.
But, of course, it's fairly fluffy, no substance at all. Great for sitting back and relaxing, but not when you want something that has a whole lot of structure and substance.
