Keroro's team consists of Tamama, an overly enthusiastic private with a penchant for going mental when anyone bad mouths his Sgt.; Giroro, the battle scarred soldier whose open love for guns is as large as his secret love for the Pokopenian, Natsumi; Kururu, the communication expert with a knack for creating all sorts of strange devices.

Wow, I'm proud to say I'm a Keroro fan. A BIG Keroro fan. Before I watched the anime I've heard and seen the mascot many times. Many times. But at that time I never look past the idea of a green frog in an army pose. Now that I watched the anime and will soon read the famed manga, I'm a fan. I mean, I went as far as... BUYING A KIRURU (red one) Doll and an UMBRELLA with the cute lil frogs.

Story: Simple, a bunch of alien frogs which are all cute and wacko in their own crazy way have landed on Earth in order to dominate it. Each frog has a specific color and all have their own unique differences. Together they attempt to break free from their human "captors" and attempt for world domination.

Characters: Very cute. I love the frogs, and I think frogs are the most underlooked animal let alone mascot aside from Keropi's. Every other frog is not mentionable, perverted, or ugly.
Not these frogs.
Keroro *The green* is... a bit weird. He's ambitious thats for sure, and energetic. He also loves gundam models.
Kiruru *the red* swings around an arsenal of machine guns and is usually accompanied by a white cat who likes him. He likes a human girl.
Tamama *the black* is just plain scary. Cute to evil in 10 seconds.
Kururu *the yellow* Always works on machines, robots, and the brains of the group. Also I love his 'Ku ku ku ku'.
Dururu is a ninja, sensitive and skilled.

The humans I think are just average. The girl is angry all the time, and the brother is the calm one. Humans aren't important, well not all of them, its the frogs that count XD. Though some of the humans you can really relate to. But remember its the frogs that count.

Graphics: Not the best, but its still cute and stays constant. The artwork is simplistic but retains a charm.

music: Addictive. I saw the show in korean and the song was... really cute. I'm not sure if the song is the same in japanese though. I really liked it though...

You can't help to laugh a bit at this anime. The humor is solid and the parody is great. It makes fun of alot of japanese and anime cultures both xD. Also the frogs are just darn adorable, even in Afros. Maybe if I read the manga the score would be lower. But for now, this anime is GREAT and its not JUST for kids. Even my grandma thinks its cute and that tells you somethin, lol.

Keroro Gunsou is a very, very funny anime series. I give this series 9 out of 10 because I had a real enjoyable time watching the antics of a "frog" and his platoon. The only problem with this anime is the references to other animes, because of this animation lovers may find some of the parodies lame if they do not follow the other animes closely.
However, it is still a fun and wacky anime to watch.

Story : Simplistic . A frog alien called Keroro and his friends are trying to take over the world and the anime revolves around how they plan to take over the world without any success.

Characters : This is a real surprise to a comedy anime as the characters are really well done. Each character has his or her own unique personality. Facial expressions are carefully done to ensure that their personality shows even on their faces. Character development is fairly well done in this series as well.

Animation : The animation is simple and very consistent in each episode. No complains. The background and lighting fits into the theme as a light hearted comedy fairly well too.

Music : The music is strangely addictive. After listening to the opening and ending a few times , I seem to hear the music in my head. 3, 2 , 1 , Fire! Apart from the opening and ending songs , the music overall in the series have been excellent. The music really amplify the mood in each situation , hence I believe that the music in this series made it very pleasant for me to watch.

Conclusion: Watch this series if you can find it! Simple as that.

This anime is some truly crazy stuff. I have yet to see a lot of the anime, but have seen a few. So far everything in this is a perfect 10/10, the voices and animation is compleate love. The animation of this is how many others are, and it has gundam models in it, animated gundam models, fun. I have all the manga so far as I check stores periodically for the next issue. This is one anime (and manga) that anyone within the notice of this review should love.

Plot: Who cares? This manga has a plot, it is just hidden. Aliens have come to earth to invade but a few aliens have been left behind when the invasion was called to a halt. Now these Keronian (frog people) must try to live in peace with the humans without being dissected. Insert funny and random episodes here.

Music/voices: The opening and endings are so funny and entertaining you won't want to skip them, I watch them every time. You cannot get away with not loving the theme songs. The voices fit them very well, no complaints.

Animation: It's like watching the manga. The effects and noises are there surrounding the charecters, it's nice to feel that it is like the manga.

Over all I belive you all should watch this, I give it a perfect score, one of my favorites.

I write this review commemorating the series' recent airing of episode #100.

Keroro Gunso was originally created by mangaka/character designer Yoshizaki Mine; whom I am now a huge fan of. Yoshizaki sensei started out as a doujinshi artist, drawing mostly parody of popular games and anime characters. This series (both manga and anime) is undoubtably his most successful one up to now. Both anime and manga are ongoing.

Keroro Gunso would be grouped as a parody comedy anime. The whole premise of the series is to parody everything in Otaku culture. If Genshiken illustrated what real life otaku life is like, Keroro Gunso illustrates the same in wacky and more abstract way.

After watching few episodes of Keroro Gunso, it becomes quite obvious who the series' main target audience are: anime/game otaku (geeks), and the series does a marvelous job at entertaining them. The series is very popular and there is not one otaku in Japan that does not enjoy Keroro Gunso. Keroro Gunso has become sort of a otaku cultural icon, especially after its appearance in J-Drama Densha Otoko.

Art/Animation 8/10
This is a series adapted from a manga, and the anime really shows that this series originates from manga. The anime constantly uses texts that pops out around the characters just like sound effects in a manga. Character designs are very cute, typical of Yoshizaki Mine's designs.

Music/Voices 8/10
Kimi ni JUICE wo katte ageru~ I love the opening and ending songs of this series. They're all very funny and catchy tunes, you'll actually want to watch the opening without fast forwarding them.
The voice cast for some characters are done quite well, but at first, some of the characters seem to have unexpected voice tones. This however is not much of a problem, since all the voices for characters grow on you. Sometimes the voice actors/actresses really let's it go... lots of shrieks and whole lot of wackyness. It's all good, since this is a comedy.

Story N/A
Don't expect a great deal of story telling here. This is a parody comedy, each episodes are pretty much a separate events. You could relate Keroro Gunso to Ninin ga Shinobu-den or Jungle wa itsumo Hare nochi Guu.

Overall 9/10
If you consider yourself a true otaku, you owe it to yourself to start watching Keroro Gunso. Every episode is filled with tons of parodies and references to popular and obscure otaku trivia. If you are a Plastic model(plamo/gunpla/and many other names...) maniac, you have even better reason to watch this series. Keroro himself is a complete Gundam model maniac.

Since many people won't have access to Keroro Gunso anime due to its lack of Fansub community support, I suggest going out and buying the manga (English versions named SGT. Frog). There are 10 volumes released by Tokyo Pop; I own all 10 volumes :)
