Story
*******
Yuushi is a seventeen year old girl trapped in the body of her ten year old self. When she is selected as a Platina Princess candidate, Yuushi cheerfully enters the Princess Academy hoping to one day earn the right to wear the Eternal Tiara, which will grant her any wish. With a long road ahead and a pack of friends at her side, Yuushi's days are never short of fun filled excitement.
Sights
*******
The graphics for this series was some of the cutest stuff I've seen for a while. It's got an eyecatching style to it that doesn't die off like many other series.
Sounds
*******
The music was cheerful for the most part, which really fit well with this series. The opening song is especially good.
Opinion
*******
Puchi Puri Yuushi definitely requires a certain taste to enjoy. Considering the cutesy characters and the storyline of the series, I'd say that this one's geared towards girls. Many of the episodes deal with friendship and love, both romantic and family oriented. I personally found myself enjoying this series for its adorable graphics and childish substance. To elaborate on the storyline a bit more, it's basically about Yuushi taking on different part time jobs in order to "strengthen her heart" in order to become the Platina Princess. Of course Yuushi's also searching for her Prince although you'll have to watch the series to find out the details. It's the PC game Princess Maker turned into a series. My favorite character in this series was definitely Grenda, the Princess of Hell. She's usually making fun of Yuushi while hiding the fact that they're really close friends. Episode 25 was the best one, almost made me cry. I will probably be watching this series again and would recommend watching it at least once.

While this interupts the flow of my review, I have to say from the outest that this anime needs an eight.5. If it had literally ended at episode 25, wihthout any alterations, it would have scored a 9 in my book. Not a nine.5, but a nice solid 9. But now that that's out of the way>>
The main compelling force in the begining is a sort of pseudo-character development. Only the main character -Yucie - really develops once the gets started, but the other characters do go through changes. The relationships between them go through the biggest development, but they plateu just a BIT, just a little bit too quickly. The plot isn't really compelling, but there are nice segments, and the ending doesn't wind down, it gradually rises. This had been noted before, the ending plot is a subtle culimnation of hinted forces, so there isn't an enormous increase in plot complexity, but the FORCE of the plot and its emotional effect blossoms nicely.
Music isn't anything to write home about, but I don't think it is ever somethig that detracts from the anime as a whole, or the moment by moment experience, and even contributes to the style.
Animation is great, with clean lines and colors, nice (if conventional) colorization, and very good animation, though the standard on all of these things is always climbing. The style is not especialy unique, but there it is interesting, and meshes well with other elements.
Overall, a lot is expected, and sometimes borders on cliche, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. I like episode 25's ending. But it was definitely worth it to watch all 26.
I would watch before buying, because it is deffinently keyed to a somewhat limited range of appreciation.
I loved it. I really did.

This is a very cute anime focusing on the friendship of 5 young women (who all look like 10 yr. old girls). They are competitors, each hoping to win the Platinum Tiara. All of the competitions are created to bring them closer together. In this respect, it is a fairly typical series, however, towards the end things become more complicated and it becomes more interesting. However, the last episode is ruined by the completely impractical, feel-good ending.
I would have rated this anime higher, if it had ended differently. The animation is clear, though not very complicated. I really enjoyed the ending song, but it's not very unique. This series is best enjoyed by those who are just looking for a simple sweet story of friendship or by a younger audience.

At first, I have a second thought when buying the anime but in the end, buying it anyways. I've always reluctant to watch animes made by Gainax due to its fame in making a good anime plot, but with bad ending. But this anime really blows that away and in the end, I never regretted buying it.
Storyline is excellently made, expected of Gainax anime. The first few parts are very heart warming and full of comedy. The story may get boring, but near the end, the story takes a huge twist and it gets interesting. I like this kind of exponential type of anime (bland in the beginnning, but rises up near the end). This anime is the first Gainax anime that I have watched that has very good ending. Even though it is quite vague, but at least better than other Gainax animes.
Graphics is also excellent: very detailed and nearly no jerkiness. Excellent job as always, Gainax.
Sound is normal, not really that outstanding. I only like the opening: very calming and heart warming kind of song. The ending is not really outstanding. Overall, very average.
Overall, this anime and Gainax deserves a huge applause. This is actually the first Gainax anime that has that good ending. I really enjoyed this anime and hoped that Gainax may comes out with anime with this king of ending.
