Synopsis : Orphen and his gang are back together and ready to start off on a new adventure. In their travels, Orphen and the others run into an innocent young girl named Licorice Nielson. Apparently, Licorice, a member of an order known as the Royal Public Service and Protection Knights, has been sent to bring Orphen back to headquarters. Unwilling to enter the service of the order, Orphen is hesitant in accompanying Licorice back. When she offers to cover all of his expenses on the way there, Orphen is all too willing to go with her. He tells her beforehand, however, that he is only coming to reject the said offer. Seems simple enough.
Unfortunately, there are outside forces at work. Wherever Orphen and his gang go, a trail of strange monsters follow with the intent of taking Orphen's life. Who is behind all of these planned attacks and what is the motive behind these curious acts? Orphen and his friends will have to find out before it's too late.

Sights
*******
Orphen Revenge's graphics are not as good as the original Orphen. There were less fine details and more bright, cheery colors. Not too bad though.
Sounds
*******
The sounds were actually pretty good. The first opening song carried with it that familiar jazzy effect while the second opening song was uplifting. Both ending song were slower but still nice. Melodies and tunes were alright, nothing really special there.
Opinion
*******
This series was enjoyable. When comparing this with the first series, I'd have to say I liked this one better even though they both have their own fine points. Some things that were lacking in the original Orphen was evident in this series. For one, this series was far more light-hearted and funny, ridiculous and goofy. Not so serious as the first series. Character development was built strongly on as each and every character possessed his or her own distinct attitude and habit. Let's see: Majik is still a wuss, slaving for his teacher while being pushed around every now and again by Chleo, but his actual potential for greatness is further detailed in this series; Chleo's happy happy character is maintained in this series while a more kind, feminine, and motherly side is revealed; Licorice is a serious and frugal girl at first, leaning towards a weak and innocent character, but soon finds herself following in Chleo's footsteps and picking up a bit of an attitude herself. The other, unmentioned, characters in the group are Reki and Pamu. Yep, Chleo's wolf pup Reki is still around and he's mastered his explosion technique and using it at Chleo's bidding now. Pamu is Licorice's companion. It's pink and serves as something like an all purpose purse for Licorice, carrying anything from town maps to tissues. My favorite character in this series was none other than Orphen, who seems to have a tolerating disinterest in everything. Despite his outward appearance, Orphen means well and has his own soft side. He's picked up a hobby of arguing with Chleo about her poisonous cooking and seeing how many times he can launch the midget brothers into the sky. You'll know what I mean when you watch it. The ending was sad and strangely unexpected. I was hoping more people would survive....... Even though you don't have to watch the first series in order to understand this one, I still suggest watching the other one first just to get some background on some of the characters. Check this one out some time. Hopefully, you'll find some redeeming qualities in it as I did.
