 | Well, What can I say? Going to Otakon with a bunch of the people of the staff actually turned out to be quite a fun experience. First convention, first time putting faces to the names, voices to the comments, etc... It was pretty interesting. Sure, I'll treasure the memories of the gathering and the con, but there is a little something else I'm also going to treasure quite a bit: My complete collection of Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu.
As many of you Convention-goers know, one of the highlights of a convention are the guests, the fact that fans can speak to them even for a second in their Q&A Panels and the autograph sessions that they hold. This is the first convention I've attended to and the only one I'll be going to for a while, probably for several years, so I decided to make the most of it. The seyuus invited to Otakon were the popular Mamiko Noto and Tomokazu Seki... who worked together on the Full Metal Panic! series (they did the voices of Shinji Kazuma and Sosuke Sagara, respectively). So I made my way to the Dealers Room, got a copy of the Fumoffu series and stood in line for a few hours to get the autograph of each of them on the little sucker (Thanks go to Xeno for helping me decide on this, I was also wondering about getting their autographs on separate products).
Anyway, patience pays off:
Mamiko Noto and Tomokazu Seki signing the box for me (the second pic is blurry, I know).
Well, now I have a cool copy of a series that I actually like, autographed by two of the cast members. A good and rather unique memento of the convention. Cool, isn't it?
I know I could probably rake in the bucks by selling this on e-bay... but why would I wanna do that? |

 | I've uploaded some things myself for a number of friends just out of interest, or as a favour, I thought I'd share the things I've uploaded with the A-S community. Note that all images are thumbnails, and most things here are shoujo ^^;
***
And I will say this now, DO NOT ask for more files, I will not upload any more files for you, I'm sharing this out of pure generosity
and if I find someone begging to be an annoying leech, then I will have no choice but to kill you :)

I'll start with Anime,
I've uploaded a couple of episodes of Lovely Complex for my brother's girlfriend as a favour. Now you can get a hold of episodes 8 to 12. I rather enjoy this anime, it makes me laugh and it gives lovely drama + romance. It's about the complications of love, and its discourses.

Games
You'll be given the opportunity to download a game called The Incredible Machine. I played this game when I was younger, and just recently, I was able to get a hold of it. It's a computer game that gives you various random objects where you have to create a "device" to solve a problem they ask you to do. There are various stages that increase in difficulty. Read more about it by Clicking Here (Wiki Entry). It's quite addicting, that is, until you get stuck of course. The third image you see here is the stage where I'm stuck at, and I've been there for a long time xD

Does anyone remember playing this game?

Manga
Candy Life is a single volume manga written by Yayoi Ogawa (whom also wrote "Kimi wa Pet"). I'm particularly fond of her art style, especially in her character designs. I enjoyed this manga, even if it was short. It's a sweet and dramatic story of a girl named Makoto, a girl that recently broke up with her boyfriend, lost her job, and has little money. In desperate need for guidance, she is saved by an older mature man, and she couldn't wish for more. However, the day she is blessed by a secure future, another man steps into her life with whom she feels an irresistable attraction to. I'd say this is appointed to older teens.

The manga cover might look atrocious, but the artwork inside is good

Penguin Brothers is a shoujo manga of 5 volumes and written by Ayumi Shiina, there's little romance, but it's still very cute. I remember completely reading this while listening to Nana Mizuki's - Innocent Starter throughout the whole thing, and I was totally moved~ >.>.
The story is about a girl named Hina who transfers to a new school, however, she learns that the school separates into those that wear only black, and those that wear only white; the end result is major discrimination between "Black" and "White" students of the school. Hina goes against this long-running ritual and becomes a "Grey", much to the dismay of both sides.

I really enjoyed this manga, and it became a favourite

Deep Love: Ayu no Monogatari is probably the one manga that induced many strong emotions from me. It's deeply moving, and with a strong message. It's two volumes, but they pack so much. The art is lovely, and there's some mature content in here so this title is for the older kids. I wouldn't be able to do this justice if I wrote a synopsis for it, you'd have to read it.

I was teary eyed when I finished it ;_;
