"Tori no Uta" Air * OP * Lia Noran "Tori no Shi" by Lia is a captivating melodic song that's upbeat as well as slow. It's a song unlike any other in a sense that it's lyrics and tone perfectly fit the anime's dramatic and comedic themes. It's easily one of the best anime songs out there today. Cetonis The light, mystical feel of the song not only makes for a wonderful listen, but it's absolutely perfect for the anime it represents ^_^

"Howling" Darker Than Black * OP * abingdon boys school sorophose Not sure if it's metal or emo but the lyrics are awesome and they're sung with emotion and power. Mallic It's heavy metal, with decent vocals (that guy who sings in the first Gundam SEED/Destiny themes) and awesome guitar...what's not to love?

"Sakura Kiss" Ouran High School Host Club * OP * Chieko Kawabe xxscrimagexx You can't imagine how much I love this song. The full length one isn't as good as the anime cut, but the tempo and the rhythm are the best in my opinion.. My favorite anime opening! Link_Soul "Maybe you're my love na na na na na na na na hey hey".....just so optimistic and romantic in fun way! I wish I could wake up everyday with this song! It just makes my day when I listen to it! A masterpiece indeed!!

"Bouken Deshou? Deshou?" The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya * OP * Aya Hirano moonie05 A lot of people would really prefer “Hare Hare Yukai� for its dancing sequences but not me. The opening of MOHS is really cheerful, full of life. Also with great animation and lots of scenes we wished we could see. Renzoken Try sitting still at this song. It's just so cheerful and happy. I love to hear it in the morning.

"Ichirin no Hana" Bleach * OP3 * High and Mighty Color GroovyP This song shows how Japanese music are progressing and becoming more modern; unlike the many J-Pop songs (which I do enjoy, I am not undermining them) sound like many songs from the 90s in the western world. High and Mighty Color sounds like metalcore bands that many enjoy and this song, with the female vocals and the male screaming, with a complicated guitar solo (in the full version) gives it an edge and a modern feeling to it. Xristyan I guess this song particularly made an impression on me when I heard the growling part. What can I say, I'm a sucker for those kinds. Good voice and guitars, then a growling bit if they blend it well... Bam! This song got me hooked.

"Rewrite" Fullmetal Alchemist * OP4 * Asian Kung Fu Generation LoneWolf325 "Rewrite," the opening song for the 4th season of Fullmetal Alchemist, is both upbeat and laid back, displaying both a relaxed feel, and plenty of emotion. The song brings to the surface of the mind the feelings of being able to accomplish a difficult task easily. RaydZero It is tough to choose a favorite song from the FMA soundtrack since all the songs are pretty great. You can say many good things of a song but Rewrite simply rocks. The strong vocals and lyrics of this song make it better than the other FMA openings who doesn't get behind.

"Hare Hare Yukai" The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya * ED * Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara, and Yuuko Gotou liola This song is definitely my number one favourite song. I love it for its catchy tune and liveliness. Its fun and upbeat; the best type of song to sing to. tangyteng This ED is an internet phenomenon on youtube and imeem simply because of the dancing. Dancing aside, I have to give props to anime songs where the vocalist(s) are the Seiyuus of the show. "Hare Hare Yukai" also has several different versions in TMHS character albums, most of which are also catchy and prolong the obsession of Haruhi Suzumiya.

"Tank!" Cowboy Bebop * OP * The Seatbelts reddrake Cowboy Bebop may have had some of the coolest music to ever grace an Anime. Almost every episode had a great piece of Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Or BeBop. One standout piece (at least to my western ears) was "Tank!," the op to the series. Kicked off by series of quick Horn Hit's and drums, the song instantly grabs your attention. Then the upright Bass settles you into the foundation of the song. "I think it's time to blow this scene. Get everybody and there stuff together.. Ok, 3..2..1..Let's Jam!" writenednleft The jazz music, the opening, it all contributes to the theme and bebop style of the anime making this song worth voting for. Innovative and catchy, my favorite part in the opening is how the music intertwines with that gun shooting part and just sets the mood of Cowboy Bebop's cool and slick characters and storyline.

"Hishoku no Sora" Shakugan no Shana * OP1 * Mami Kuwada Vortex_Magus The song is interesting. It is a far cry from the basic formula cloning that seems to go around a lot in popular music, and draws the user in directly. Unconventional use of piano and percussion instruments draws me in, and the voice didn't let me out until the song ended. tc227 This pop song is excellent in both lyrics and music. It music flows well with a good beat and is quite catchy. The lyrics narrate the feelings and emotions that is displayed by the characters within the story. It is one of my favorite songs that has graced the opening of any anime.
