A Poem, by the Members and Guests of Anime-Source.com
Do you hear the Battle Cry * In the Forest Where You Are? It won't last Forever. In fact, it may just be a Disillusion. Let Me Be With You. God Knows that Life is Like A Boat. He'll show you The True Light with no Last Regrets. So it's Ready Steady Go until the Light and Wind fulfill your Raison d'etre. No need for your Being to be Lonely in Gorgeous. The Moon on the Water is a Hit in the USA. Perhaps it's the Wild Music of Youth that will full your Romantic Summer with COLORS and a Rose to brighten your Days, and bring forth your First Kiss. The Colors of the Heart are bright until 0:00am. Could This Be Love? * It's an Adventure, Right? Right? * Even Though We Were Together, your Pride * For Fruits Basket fills the Guilty Sky. And though we feel A Little Pain from the Uneraseable Sin, a Brand New Breeze gives us new Reason to say "Thank You" to Life.
So savor the Driver's High as we Ride on Shooting Star and are embraced by the Tears of a Blue Sky. Eternal Snow is falling and is never Faraway. Though we may feel like we're being restricted with a Chain to this Inner Universe, The Thesis of a Cruel Angel dictates otherwise. Innocent Sorrow guides us, as the Bird's Song and Sakura's Kiss * Rewrite our existance.
Sunny Sunny Fun and A Crimson Sky coexist, side by side until a Hero's Comeback saves us all. The Lilium of The World spell relief, just like a Rolling Star shooting through the Heavens. And because we're in this together, we are never Alone.
That, my friends, is The Real Folk Blues.
Final Analysis and Thank You:
Wow, aside from writing beautiful poetry, this survey also serves another purpose... deciding the hottest music out there in the world of anime! Now everyone has a list of good recommendations on what they should be listening, plus a look at which series offer the biggest treats to our sense of hearing.
No doubt the popular series had multiple appearances. Are these show popular because of the music or is the music popular because of the show? It's a two-way street, really. It's no exaggeration to say that sometime music can either make or break a series, so I thank everyone who took the time to show their support for their favorite songs.
This is our first time running a survey on music. A lot of fans gravitated to the more recent stuff, but it's pleasing to see a lot of classics like Neon Gensis Evangelion's "Thesis of a Cruel Angel, Chobits' "Let Me Be With You" and the timeless jazz favorites from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack made it to the top 100. A lot of other older songs just missed the cutoff, but they were far from recent powerhouses like the songs from Bleach, Death Note and Naruto. Fullmetal Alchemist had a good running showing up all over the place, but the gem of these contest ironically enough was a one-episode insert-song... the stunningly captivating and high-energy "God Knows..." from 2006's smash-hit, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
This survey was a lot of work, but the end results makes it all the worthwhile. Over a thousand people took the time to participate and we thank everyone for doing so. My extention of thanks also goes to the two hardest working people on the A-Source staff, ASRT Team Leader Himitsu and Manga Staff Leoxjm. Moderators Kimmie-chan and bigdave, plus Staff Writer Long_Gun also stepped in to offer some help.
I helped a little bit, too ^____________________^
Thanks again to everyone and as always, thank you so much for supporting Anime-Source.com
