Scar
Fullmetal Alchemist
kuey
Scar gets my vote as one of the best villains of all time not only because he's strong, but because he's a well-developed character. His past which plays a major part in this series. Scar is not the crazy killer he first appears to be, he's a man with a sense of purpose, and on top of that, as the series progresses on you find out, he really isn't as bad as he first seems to be. Scar is indeed a complex character, with that ever continuing quest for himself, a trait that is often associated with protagonists, and yet in this series we see Scar as a character that develops along side the main protagonists. Scar is what I would described as one of the better developed villains in a series and for that he gets my vote. |

Gauron
Full Metal Panic!
kuey
Well what is there really to say about Gauron? He's one of those character's you love to hate. He's what most would call "pure evil", yet he's so evil that he gives life to this series. His "evilness" and madness are his most alluring attributes and also serve for a kind of sick comedy at times that has you thinking "what the hell is wrong with this guy???" He is definitely one of the characters that makes a series not only because it gives the hero an enemy, but because his nature breeds a sense of hate within the audience that serves as catalyst for making the hero so attracting in his own right, as he is the one who will bring this villain down. |

Gin Ichimaru
Bleach
Sparrowhawk
Gin. That one word invokes a hesitance, an uncertainty that can really chill you. Who can possibly know what this rat-faced man is thinking or planning? Gin is the ultimate antagonist, due precisely to the fact that his is, for all intensive purposes, The Unknown. And nothing is more feared than the unknown.
Uruz-7
A playful demeanor, a strong warrior, and that ever-smiling look. Sounds like the perfect protagonist? Well, think again, because Ichimaru Gin will not hesitate to attack anyone in his way (except Matsumoto Rangiku perhaps). Why is he even on the side of the bad guys anyway? Hopefully, we will get to see more of why he truly deserves the Best Antagonist of Bleach. |

Hisoka
Hunter x Hunter
Alamo
Despite the growing competition, I view Hisoka as the king of Creepy Pedophile Villains, because throughout the series, he consistantly freaks you the f**k out. I know others do this too, but man, Hisoka does it best. Its not something tangible or definable, but I just get a little unsettled when someone willingly lets their arm get cut off just to screw with his opponant a little.
Durante
Coments are pointless with this guy, every time he appears, you can feel his killing intent, you just wanna see the main characters run away from him, because he has true and unfathomable strengh, and he doesn't even need a mistake from you, he´ll simply obliterate and erradicate all his enemies. Truly a fearsome opponent. |

Suigintou
Rozen Maiden/Rozen Maiden: Traumend/Rozen Maiden: Ouverture
Fa11enAngel
JUNK!!!! that word doesn't do justice at all to her. Behind that cunning and sinister attitude is a sad past of wanting to be accepted. The second season reveals another side of her, that of kindness which is rarely found in villains and it makes her all the more attractive. Did I mention that her wings make her look sexy?
championferret
Does anyone not like her? She's not only unsettlingly beautiful, with such delightfully freaky insane facial expressions, the fact that she's an animated doll makes her even more frightening. And she uses black feathers to attack. Come on, that's awesome. |

Johan Liebert
Monster
blueswirls
Johan Liebert. Just thinking of him makes me having goosebumps again. This classic villain from Monster is one of a kind. He is a decent guy no matter how you look at him, but beneath all the outward appearance, he's definitely a 'monster' in disguise. Three claps for his calmness and 'craziness'. He is one reason that makes Monster such a great anime.
Alamo
Johan is a Monster, plain and simple. He's inhuman, the culmination of all of psychology and horror turned in on itself. Nobody anywhere comes close to him. He's simply untouchable, and he knows it.
