Bamboo Blade

ddogt432 - Episodes Seen: 7

I was introduced by a friend and was pleasantly suprised that I had missed this show during my first forray into the new season. Good characters, fun and energetic, with a simple story. Definately worth a look.

eisenmeteor - Episodes Seen: 8

The show has a nice mix of humor and does well as a sports anime. Compared to others of the same genre, it's far more light-hearted and funny which is a nice change. The characters are funny and have enough personality to make it interesting and worth watching. As I know nothing about kendo, it feels like I've learned a little from it and its rules so plus for teaching us trivia about sports.

As most sports related anime it's quite good, highly recommended.

Xristyan - Episodes Seen: 8

For this series they used the tried and tested cute-girl-that-kicks-ass approach. And I must say it worked. The main reason I keep on watching this series is because of adorable Tama-chan. Why Tama-chan? Cause not only does she kick ass... She is deadly even with a broom...

Though this might be considered an action/comedy, the anime emphasis is on the comedy side. I don't really mind that, the comedy is fairly entertaining. The other characters in the show support the main character well and adds color to the line-up with their unique traits... We have an energetic captain, the fickle Saya-chan, the seemingly sweet looking Miya-miya, other guys like Dan-kun, the coach, and that other... dude... LOL

Looking forward to watching more

Blue Drop

Xristyan - Episodes Seen: 5

It's an interesting anime to pick up. Maybe its just me but the pacing of the anime seems to be weird... its laid back but stuff happens fast. If that makes any sense. Nonetheless I enjoy this anime and hope they continue with the subs.

Strange presentation, but interesting.

CLANNAD TV

xenocrisis0153 - Episodes Seen: 8

Unbelievably adorable and a lot more fun than I thought it would be. There are many girls who interact quite well with eachother and the two leading males which makes for hilarious situations, especially when it comes to playing pranks on the unsuspecting ones. As typical with anything by Keys/VisualArts, there is pending drama waiting to unfold which says to me that this will become an incredibly emotional story.

Super omega maximumally highly recommended!!

Himitsu - Episodes Seen: 4

Is anyone else watching this solely for Tomoyo? The kickass street fighter capable of 500+ hits in a few seconds? Well, there are plenty of reasons to watch Clannad such as the BEAUTIFUL character design, tone, and backdrops. With a fair number of unique characters, you'll develop some interesting relationships. Clannad is full of energy without being hyperactive. Their balance in the mood of the show is quality work. This is the latest Kyoto Animation production (Kanon 2006, MOHS, Lucky Star, Air TV) so you know this will definitely be popular - and for good reasons.

A quality production.

animevgirl - Episodes Seen: 8

A poignant, subtle examination of the lives of several young students, CLANNAD’s unassuming beauty in character design and animation are rivaled only by blossoming, endearing character relationships. Transcending distinct physical and emotional vulnerabilities through their intersecting friendships, the protagonists carry the show well. I identified fragments of my own self within them, and was drawn to their individual conflicts and quirky idiosyncrasies. The pacing is appropriately slow as the show privileges seemingly trivial, intimate moments in the characters' lives. At once humorous and contemplative, melancholic and joyful, CLANNAD offers a respite from the slew of stylized action-oriented titles I’ve seen lately, and I’m curious as to how it will progress from here. In short, it’s worth a look.

Xristyan - Episodes Seen: 8

Got started on this show just because it was done by KyoAni. And now its THE most anticipated series in my fall line-up right now. The mixture of comedy and drama is well done in this show and the animation is top notch.

A series highly recommended.

Dragonaut

eisenmeteor - Episodes Seen: 8

Nothing special about this show so far, the story twists so far have been predictable and the characters are shallow and boring. Most if not everyone have personality's that are skin deep meaning next to nothing, they're simple minded with only one thing in mind. And the change in characters are rather boring as well, the whole "ohh he's my enemy but he was a little nice to me so I'll let it go and be nice to him" seriously no depth. Ohhh can't forget the hugs boobs some of the female characters have. So why am I watching it? It's not good nor is it so overly horrible that I can't stand it so right now I just wanna know how it ends, also the action is ok.

Not recommended.

ef: A Tale of Memories

xenocrisis0153 - Episodes Seen: 6

The pacing is slow and the story revolves mostly around dialogue. There is a lot of heavy thoughts being tossed around which is good for anyone who wants to contemplate life and existance through anime. The cast is a mix of energetic and lathargic characters, but they all have an interesting story to share. The art is steadily improving.

Moderately recommended.

eisenmeteor - Episodes Seen: 7

I wouldn't call this anime great nor would I call it bad, the opening is pretty catchy and I like it. While some of the effects in the show may seem over the top and unnecessary I didn't find it that bad. The story was also good enough to keep me watching and it feels like it's worth continuing watching it to the end.

Recommend it.

Xristyan - Episodes Seen: 8

At first I wasn't very impressed with their overkill with the alternative animation and artwork. But the story was interesting enough to pull me through and the animation just grew on me. I will keep on watching so long as the story is good enough...

Good story so far.

Genshiken 2

ddogt432 - Episodes Seen: 7

Otaku doing otaku things. Definate must watch for fans. While you won't be completely lost if you've never seen the first season or the OVAs (there are 3 of them), the show does start off assuming familiarity with the story.

eisenmeteor - Episodes Seen: 7

A sequel I've been interested in, basically it's slice-of-life otaku-style. In the third installment of the show, we get to see a bit of how it is to make your own doujinshi and some of our cast start heading out in the real world and more. As always, it's interesting seeing the life they lead and also has one of the best openings sequences this fall.

Highly recommended.

Ghost Hound

Himitsu - Episodes Seen: 1

I've only seen the one episode, and while the content was quite heavy, the pacing of Ghost Hound was quite slow. There were some creepy elements to justify its Horror genre, but based on the first episode, you won't really get any feel for what's to come. That is, they didn't really input anything of interest, nothing to engage the watcher. There's plenty of mystery, but there is no display of even potential solutions.

Didn't interest me.

Gundam 00

eisenmeteor - Episodes Seen: 8

Seeing as it was Gundam that helped trigger my anime obssesion how can I not watch the new show. New for the show is that it takes place in our own world and not a made up world. However the characters feel very uninteresting here as well there's no drive or drama that's propels the story forward. Since it's still early the character may develop into something more worth remembering but so far it's only mildly interesting just because it's Gundam. The action is well done as they've skipped the reusing of scenes that other shows have done which is a big plus.

Mildly interesting.

Promising.

Xristyan - Episodes Seen: 8

I started this series just because of the title. Having been disappointed with Seed and Seed Destiny I was hoping this would not go down that path and sure enough I wasn't disappointed. Enjoying this new series from the franchise. The uniqueness of each gundam is one of the driving points that keep me watching.

Juushin Enbu Hero Tales

eisenmeteor - Episodes Seen: 2

From the manga-ka of Full Metal Alchemist comes Hero Tales, after hearing about this show it felt like one of the must see of the year seeing how good and big FMA turned out. However it's best not to compare it too much nor expect something as grand as FMA, though it's far too early to really tell anything however the start is a lot weaker and does not captivate me the way FMA did. The characters and their interaction doesn't quite create as great of an atmosphere as FMA either. If you have an open mind and forget it's from FMA fame ARAKAWA Hiromu and like action I'm sure this show will turn out to be a good show. Will have to wait to see how it turns out in later episodes.

Promising.
