2007's one of those years you can look back at say it was a good year, you can easily give a list of what was good. But picking favourites is another story, there was just so much to offer, there are still so many 2007 titles like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann, Claymore, Shion no Ou, Shugo Chara, etc. I want to see and 2008's already started ~ what am I to do?

Special Mentions:
Clannad TV
Seto no Hanayome
Tsubasa Chronicles
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS
Romeo x Juliet
Lovely Complex
Hayate no Gotoku

Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations

5th Choice:

Although I haven't been following the Tsubasa Chronicle series, Tokyo Revelations was just a must see since it's a major turning point in the TRC manga. Tokyo Revelations has not dissappointed so far, the fights have been awesome and they've done well to deliver the dark turn-around of the plot, and Omigosh they have Mamoru Miyano as the seiyuu for Kamui xD ... and did I mention Syaoran uses 'Raitei Shourai'?

Minami-ke

4th Choice:

Another series to prove my theory of 'Any anime about a bunch of girls at school = WIN!!' This was funny series about the day-to-day lives of the 3 sisters of the Minami family, each with their own personality. The comedy was just delivered and executed well making it very enjoyable. I personally really liked the adventures of Ninomiya-kun and Sensei. ^^

Lucky Star

3rd Choice:

3 factors sums this series up for me. 1) KyoAni, 2) Hirano Aya and 3) something similar along the lines of Azumanga Daioh. Everything mentioned above are all my favourites and what better than throwing it all together? We get an awesome series by the name of Lucky Star. The anime is pretty simple, just day to day lives of a bunch of girls at school (I always say any anime about a bunch of girls at school = WIN!!) and they would talk about everything that you would find yourself nodding to most of the time. Can't go without mentioning Konata Izumi ... L*S just won't have that magic without her.

Dennou Coil

2nd Choice:

Dennou Coil honestly took me by suprise ... I paid no attention what-so-ever to it until I read Himitsu's spotlight article, which irked my interest a little and I'm glad I got into it. The animation and story was top notch mixed in with some fun humour. It also brings back memories of what it was like being a kid ... errr minus the shooting beams outta my forehead and cool cybernet glasses xD.

Nodame Cantabile

1st Choice:

Nodame takes the cake of being my favourite of 2007. Chiaki and Nodame along with the rest of the crew of NC (eg. Mine, Masumi-chan, Kiyora, Milch etc.) were just so much fun to watch. Kudos to the seiyuu crew ^^. And for once the piano keys and the hands that were playing them were animated! I thought that was absolutely fantastic!

And just to be different Razz

In terms of anime-watching, the second half of 2007 was disastrous for me. I've missed several of what seem to be popular titles for this year and I'm still catching up on some, but I still think I got to see plenty of what it had to offer. Stuff I thought was good (Lucky Star, Gundam 00), stuff I thought was bad (School Days), and stuff I thought was so-so (Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny). Still, sometimes choosing just the best 5 can be difficult and 2007 didn't exactly make it easy... But these are the ones I can say with confidence I enjoyed the most.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai

5th Choice:

The sequel to one of my favorite series takes quite a different turn from the original... but that's not always a bad thing. I was very intrigued by the "how and why", that is the focus of this season (we get plenty of the "what" the first time around). This show has one of the neatest cast of characters I've seen, improved animation and still maintains that certain something that made the first season so good.

Kaze no Stigma

4th Choice:

I still seem to have a soft spot for shonen anime, and this time around that need was well-fulfilled by this series. Admittedly, the best part about this show for me was the short-tempered Ayano, but I was also surprised by how a relatively light show can manage to be dark and gloomy at times. Even for good people things can go horribly wrong... irremediably so. But still people have to carry on. I don't know if this was the shows intended message, but this is what I got: sometimes stars shine because of the darkness around them.

Claymore

3rd Choice:

I had a really good time watching Claymore during its run. Plenty of cool action and fighting in a medieval setting, the show also had an interesting story to tell and an always appealing way to develop it. The whole "Hybrid warriors vs the Monsters" thing may feel overdone by now... but I really didn't care about that while I enjoyed Claymore. Great looking and always interesting.

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann

2nd Choice:

One of this year's hit shows... and for good reason! Gurren-Lagann is an enjoyable show throughout. It may certainly be all about the coolness and excitement, but with well-developed characters, a plot that can take dramatic and unexpected turns and that well-timed comedy that is always right on the spot, Gurren-Lagann is one of those shows that will always be very difficult to top. Oh, and Yoko is hot.

Hayate no Gotoku

1st Choice:

A hilariously absurd comedy about butlers, battles, robots and otakus galore, Hayate no Gotoku takes the crown as my favorite pick of the year. Each episode is enjoyable from beginning to end and laden with enough external anime references to put even Lucky Star to shame. Appealing in terms of design and animation, every single aspect of this show comes together to make it one of the greatest comedies I've ever seen. To put it simply: It's just too damn fun!

Molenir

2006 was an outstanding year for anime. Amazing all around with terrific shows left and right. However when thinking about it, it was really easy to pick my favorite. However we're not picking favorite anime of 2006 we're doing favorite of 2007. If anything this year has been even better. Unfortunately picking my favorites is much harder this year. There are so many great titles, with so much humor and quality that I really struggled to narrow my list down. I started with 12, then finally, after much effort cut it to 5.

My other favorites of the year that deserve mention: Bamboo Blade, Hayate no Gotoku, Ichigo Mashimaro, Rocket Girls, Shion no Ou, Seirei no Moribito, Sketchbook ~full color'S~

Minami-ke

5th Choice:

The first 4 were fairly easy choices, picking number 5 was next to impossible. There were so many great shows this year that picking my 5th meant I would have to leave the rest out. Finally I settled on Minami-ke. Very much a slice of life show, the humor in it revolves around 3 sisters. At times almost painfully funny, nevertheless, like with Lucky Star, I looked forward to each episode.

Nodame Cantabile

4th Choice:

I don't really have any way to describe this one, other then to repeat what others have said... Gyabo! Very deserving, easily one of the top shows of the year. Like Lucky Star, I just wish it was longer. Gah, I want to see Nodame in Europe!

Lucky Star

3rd Choice:

Very few shows have grabbed me like Lucky Star. I enjoyed every minute of this show. The OP which I must have watched at least 100 times. The impossibly cute Tsukasa, the awesomeness that is Konata, the Moe of Miyuki, and of course Kagami. The whole series was just fun from beginning to end. Any other year, this show would likely have been my number one, instead it has to settle for 3rd. I'd really like a sequel. Please?

Lovely Complex

2nd Choice:

My next favorite of 2007. This has to be my favorite romantic comedy of all time. It simply out does every other show in the category I have ever seen. I recommend this show to everyone. Even my younger brothers liked this one. Well, after I forced them to sit down and watch it. Mwahahaha!

Doujin Work

1st Choice:

It's really hard to choose a favorite among my top 4, but since I have to, I go with Doujin Work. This hilarious take on the world of Doujin comics was outstanding. Each episode was short, only about 15 minutes total, and each was jam packed with humor and misunderstandings.
