30th Place: 319pts

Ultimate Survivor Kaiji

October * 26 Episodes * Madhouse

One of the awesome "Unknown" series. Clearly amazing, full of manly tears and epic stuff. Always a challenge of the main character's morals and all.

This is the kind of anime no one has heard of and to decrease even more of its popularity, the artwork is awful. This is why almost everyone sees one screenshoot and thinks this is bad. But think again, Ultimate Survivor Kaiji is amazing! An anime about gambling, now that's an original concept. The main focus of the series is to explore humans through twisted games that push everyone to act greedy. Where the anime gets really good is seeing the main character always getting out of the trouble. I love how they represent the psychological burdens people feel when making a decision. For example: the moment they turn a card to reveal what it is. A sequence like that is as exciting as the climax of a really good fight in an action anime.

This show not only shocks its viewers, but it entertains them as well. This anime not only hooks you to the dark life of a bum protagonist struggle againts the mob, but it shows how human nature is shown in this anime.

29th Place: 354pts

Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations

November * 3 Episodes * Production I.G.

Kilplow
A fitting capstone to the Tsubasa Chronicles anime. The biggest problem, while it reveals much, it also makes me want to see more Tsubasa animated...and sadly the chances of that seem as distant as the happy ending does after this ...graphic but touching arc. Hopefully, we'll see both in time...

Kiora
The first two episodes were AMAZING and this was a few million times more interesting than the 52 episodes before it.

The storyline is one of the best with awesome characters and emotions play. One of my favourite anime of all time!!!! yAHoo!!!

28th Place: 403pts

Dennou Coil

May * 26 Episodes * Madhouse

Ghostalker
Probably the most visually stunning anime series of 2007, still Dennou Coil offers more... a great heart-warming storyline that is very captivating, sometimes romantic, very refreshing... and mysterious? Cute girls are a bonus. One of the few series that has able to combine very good graphics and great storyline, what anime should be...

One of the best tv animations, ever, period. The animators here are complete masters. Their understanding of dynamic movement and shifting of weight is uncanny, especially in terms of inertia. Just looking at how they animated the hair as a result of abrupt vector change, and the amazing attention to where the center of gravity druing movement or stops bring a tear to my eyes. Here is truly "art in motion". But beyond that, Dennou Coil has the most ORIGINAL ideas in both the central plot as well as side stories. Lots of surprises and rarely a cliche. The characters are lively (spunky) without being obnoxious, sympathetic without overly coy (or moe), and complex without losing credibility. Totally outshines everything else down to the very last episode. The series simply floors me.

Wow. Dennou Coil is like the revival of Studio Ghibli Films; only better. The series has a very very intriguing storyline which keeps you hooked all the while with very few pauses and fillers (close to none). The characters are very lovable and the story and world revolving in Dennou Coil is rather unique with advanced science fiction relating to modern japan and the traditional side of it. Despite having very conventional storyboarding and music, the series is one of the best that i've watched because of the very very interesting and gripping storyline (something like Serial Lain Experiments, only that you don't have to think so much).

27th Place: 404pts

Genshiken 2

October * 12 Episodes * Genco

Cymps
Genshiken is an anime almost every typical otaku can relate to. It’s an anime by otakus for otakus. And with that thought in mind, the anime knows what to deliver. The second season had a bit of doujinshi creation, a bit of cosplay, a touch of PC-eroge, a little romance and some hardships to be dealt with. Considering how I can relate to every aspect the second season presented, I think it'll always have a little place in my heart.

Hidd3N_NiN
I really enjoyed the first season and so I enjoyed the 2nd season as well. While the show starts focusing less on Otaku stuff and more on the lives of the Genshiken members as they start graduating and leaving, it’s still entertaining to watch as a slice-of-life kind of show.

Coradee
Although not as good as season one (and how could anything be), Genshiken 2 did a good job at continuing one of the best animes ever. The addition of Ogiue brought a whole new dimension to the series, as our favorite characters, grow up, fall in love, and do their best to be otakus in the real world.

26th Place: 438pts

Romeo × Juliet

April * 24 Episodes * Gonzo

Buby
This is such a great series!!! I loved the story, how it was improvised to fit Shakespeare's original story, how the master himself was introduced in the plot, how well the plot developed, how exciting the story was, how emotional the love story became, the tragic ending was flawless, the animation was quite enjoyable, the series is action packed, and doesn't disappoint you one second. I loved it immensely!

Beautifully made and mesmerizing in all aspects Romeo X Juliet is one of the best quality anime I've ever ever seen. Taking a twist on the Shakespearean play, RXJ includes a memorable cast of people, action, comedy and of course romance to make it the best series of 2007

skychan
The classic tale of a forbidden love told in a whole new way. This heart-wrenching story will have you either crying, on the edge of your seat, or clamoring for more at the end of each episode. Or perhaps it will do all of this.
