Akane-iro Somaru Saka
Yuuhi accidentally bumps into two guys and they give excessive trouble once they find out she's cute. Luckily, a bystander was there to fend the guys off. Yuuhi gives the boy her thanks and asks for his name to thank him properly, but the boy doesn't give Yuuhi his name since he does not think the gesture is worth much.
Junichi, the boy that veered off the delinquents arrives home and immediately regrets asking for the girl's name. At school the next day, a new transfer student is introduced to his class. It is none other than the cute girl he met yesterday! The two, Junichi and Yuuhi, are both surprised to see each other which raises interest and increased suspicion of the relationship between the pair.
Yuuhi is swarmed with questions, especially on the subject of how she feels about Junichi. Her new classmates misinterpret her answers and she feels cornered. Junichi then arrives on the scenes and she pleads for him to clarify their relationship. As Junichi stands silently pondering just what she means, he makes the situation worse by kissing her! | Series Informationakasaka

Akane-iro no Somaku Sora right now seems to be somewhat confusing. The opening sequence and the "main storyline" seem to have discrepancies, and I'm not exactly sure what genre to place this series in, or even what the "main storyline" exactly is. Once I've figured it out, then maybe I'll continue watching it. Right now, however, the series hasn't quite caught on with me yet.

What really made me pick up this show was because Hirano Aya, Kugimiya Rie, Katou Emiri, Tanaka Rie to mention a few of the names that are in this show. That alone felt like this show should be worth watching. While I'm not fond of the animation which resembles Myself; Yourself it's a minor complaint. As it's built on a VN I am a bit skeptical fearing that it'd become a harem anime thankfully nothing seems to indicate that it will become anything of a sort. Though I find the show somewhat generic I'll most likely keep on watching it as it's in no way a bad anime and perhaps it'll become something more.

More entertaining than expected. I thought it would be another boring ol' romance, drama. Something like Myself; Yourself - nothing going for it except a cure for insomnia. But this plot of forced togetherness is rediculous. Akasaka is riddled in "moe" and it doesn't work for me. The direction was quite different than I expected, especially the one scene when dwelling into Junichi's mind. But the fact that it definitely fits the template of dating-sim turned harem/romance will not remain in my books.
Oh, yeah. What's with the gravity-defying hair?

After having watched 3 episodes of this show, I'm not particularly impressed. Its a Harem type show, but it feels rather stale. Earlier episodes were moderately amusing, and I had hoped that the humor would help carry the story. After watching the 3rd episode however, it appears that this is not the case. The story is becoming more stupid then stale, and so I don't think I'll be watching any further.

Casshern Sins
Upon introducing himself, Casshern declares to Luna that he will kill her. Ever since that day, only destruction and calamities have occurred. Casshern faces every day encountering machines that wish to kill him. Robots thriving to function and inevitably breaking down proclaim that if they kill Casshern, they will gain immortality.
After an eventful battle, he meets a young girl named Ringo. Ringo exclaims about Casshern's beauty and asks whether he is machine or human. Casshern hesitates to give Ringo an answer, as if he, himself, does not know if he is man or machine. Just then, a monstrous robot that threatens to take Ringo's life appears out of the grounds. Casshern mercilessly kills the robot in the most ruthless way possible. While Casshern manages to save Ringo, Ringo isn't too happy about what she saw.

Casshern SINS give of a real retro feeling with the character designs, reminding me of older animes with the hair and everything. And true enough it's built on an old 70s anime, while some may have a bit of a problem with the old look it's got it's merits. The problem with this show however is that it makes little to no sense and tries too hard. The dialogs feels stale and unnatural and you don't really feel it when they say anything. You kinda just roll your eyes at them and go "Ok you're making no sense what so ever". The action however is quite nice, watching Casshern punch through robots and rip out their cords (guts) is well animated.
While I'll give it a few more episodes to see how it'll go I wouldn't recommend it, the show itself is highly uninteresting and borders on making me fall asleep. As far as oldies and action go I'm gonna bet that the new Hokuto no Ken TV series will be more entertaining than this.

Old style is in! I particularly like the art style. The action was a bit too long winded for my tastes. The episode itself seemed to drag on to something longer than usual. I can't comment much about the first episode, but I can already tell that this isn't really something within my tastes. I did enjoy the drama in watching Bokurano and maybe Casshern Sins, but from the way the story is executed so far (minimal dialogue, post-apocalypse, a lot of dark scenes) I doubt this will have many enjoyable scenes. This one is definitely serious. Not what I'm looking for right now.
No lead on of having seen the original Casshan or any special feelings for the "retro" style art, so I will have to let this one go.

The first thing I thought when I started watching this, is that I hate the art style. The second thing, is I hate the apocalyptic atmosphere as well. After watching the whole thing, I realized this is not a show that would interest me. The story just doesn't look like it will be fun to watch. I'm going to have to give this one a pass.

Casshern is my dark horse for the best series of the season. I loved the first few episodes. I especially liked the first episode because of Ringo. She seemed to radiate an adorable, innocent, bubbly personality that imitated a young child so well. The series seems to so far be showing an aftermath of something that Casshern did. The music is very good especially the ending song. The animation is very good also which very fluid movement. Considering Casshern is an action series, the fluid movement makes for very good fight scenes.

Now here's a show I've been waiting for. Reading the description of the show I started to think of Perfect Blue, while the only thing they share is that it was hard to distinguish what was real and what was not in both titles. And that's the main thing that drives my interest in this title as our protagonist is unable see the line between reality and fiction. While aware that he's delusional he grow more paranoid over things. However it also means that from time to time you won't have a clue about what's happening and get completely lost. But I'm looking forward to seeing where all of this will end up and the constant guessing on which was real and which was not. While the op and ed in question is highly weird and didn't really speak to me as it feels like it doesn't really match.
While this may not be everyones type of genre I highly recommend giving this a chance. If nothing else try Perfect Blue.

This show is a tough one to recommend for me. On the one hand, it looks, at least superficially like a mixture of Welcome to the NHK, and Shana, both of which I enjoyed, and so I'm a little tempted to watch it. However I have a lot of other animes I've already commited to watching, and the dark tone of this show, makes it one I know I'd have a hard time sitting through. Its one that I might have to wait, and watch the end, in order to decide whether the intervening episodes are worth investing the limited amount of time I have to spend on anime. For now though, if you like shows such as Hell Girl, or that Dead Letter girl, then you'll probably enjoy this. Myself, I'll have to pass, at least for now.

After I read up on the original game, I was able to better piece together just what is going on in CH. Apparently in the original game occasionally options would appear where you could pick either what was roughly a "happy" route or a "scary" route. That explained all the weird scenes that would occur throughout the episodes. While I'm interested in where CH is going, I'm not too high on the series. The character designs didn't really click with me, though I do like the ending song. Decent series, with some very interesting things going on. I've yet to see the gore that the original game was famous for.
