Kuroshitsuji
| The Master of the Noble house of Phantomhive is but a mere 12 year old boy and he certainly isn’t someone easy to serve. Enter his butler, Sebastian Michaels, who has unquestionably perfect knowledge, manners, talent with materials, martial arts and many other tricks up his sleeve, particularly with serving his master and handling the clumsy servants.

I don't know about this series. It seems somewhat interesting, but at the same time the humor tried too hard and the horror tried too little. I could not stand the seemingly excess characters of the first episode, and I wasn't that scared by the horror. I just don't know. The main character seems like one of those appealingly evil and bratty kids, and he has a neat character design, but that's about it. The rest of the animation seemed to clash except for two characters that looked like the animator spent much more time on them.

This one looks to be very cool. They kids eyepatch reminds me of Rental Magica. While the show seems to be an interesting blend of humor and horror. I don't normally go for horror type shows though. I'll give this one a few episodes, to see which direction the show takes. If it leans more towards humor, then I'll probably watch it. If it focuses more on the horror, then I'll pass.

Yet another show about vampiric/immortal swordsmen with plenty of graphic violence and blood splattered everywhere. Not like that's necessarily a bad thing, but it is starting to get old. Well, at least Kurozuka shows promise in the development of a love story between Kuro and Kuromitsu... which is actually kind of sudden in the way things happen in the first episode, but may prove interesting to watch later on. The animation and soundtrack are solid so far, and I'm definitely a sucker for non-linear storytelling and shows that pull no punches. At least in the short term, I'm sold.
Outlook: Good (Although lots of graphic violence make it hit-or-miss)

So far I'm somewhat disappointed with this title, while the OVA actually covered most of the manga the new show throws in a couple of new scenes. Sadly however pretty much everything from the OVA is in here as well so those that's seen the OVA will recognize most of the short scenes. While I don't mind the changes such as the VA and animation style I feel that the execution was better in the OVA and that the surprised look where their faces suddenly changes does not fit the current style.
For those that haven't seen the OVA this could be a lot more amusing however for those that have seen the OVA this will most likely feel like a waterdowned and less interesting version of it all. On the other side the new scenes might be worth watching.

I'm really not sure on this one yet. Watching a bunch of 5th graders talking openly about sex, and being put into sexual situations bothers me a great deal. On the other hand, I freely admit that theres a lot of humor in the show, enough so that it might be palatable to watch, despite the situations.

KnGnN definitely isn't as good as the OVA's. The series so far has inferior animation, execution of it's humor, and music. I liked the OVA a lot more. The series' humor is somewhat funny, but not as funny as the OVA's. I will follow it though in hopes that it will improve. The series seems to be using the same scenarios from the OVA's, so we'll see how this series goes.
Outlook: Mediocre

Linebarrels of Iron
Koichi Hayase is a rather weak kid who constantly gets bullied by his fellow school-mates, which in his mind is just as embarrassing as having to be rescued by his friends. All he has managed to do in order to overcome his problems on his own is to believe himself to be an ally of justice with much potential that will be awakened someday
That changes when a gigantic robot from outer space, along with an amnesiac girl, crashes on top of him. As a result, Koichi is granted great powers and the ability to summon and control the Linebarrel, a powerful unit that allows him to become the hero he has always dreamed to become.

Based on the original manga, Linebarrels of Iron Could have been a fresh counterbalance to Gundam 00. Unfortunately, in the first episodes GONZO throws originality out the window and sticks instead with cliché after cliché. The result is a show that just screams "Been Here, Done That". While it promises to become more faithful to its original source later on (and therefore improve), the first episodes are a disappointment to say the least. Only recommended for the patient ones, who can stomach this show's unoriginality until it, hopefully, walks down its own path... or definitely sinks to the bottom.
Outlook: Somewhat Negative (Late-bloomer at best, all-round stinker at worst)

Linebarrels is a Mecha. To some that may make them want to watch it, for me however, I can only think of 3 or 4 mechas that are really outstanding. And maybe a half dozen more that are fairly good. All the rest, in my opinion, are simply a waste of time. This one, with a horrible main character, and an uninteresting beginning, seems to fail at the start. I'm going to pass.
Outlook: Abysmal

Another series I wanted to like, but alas Linebarrels is pretty bad. The animation is good, but just about everything else in the series is bad. The story isn't that great, the protagonist is a pretty big douche, and Gonzo is producing it. I will however continue to watch this as I'm a sucker for mechas and pretty girls. I sure hope it gets better.

Ahh Lucky Star how I've missed you. The OVA in itself doesn't bring anything new to the show as it more or less exactly the same. But it's all good fun to see Konata & the gang again. While some parts that feels a little bit short or not as satisfying there was a lot that made this OVA was worth watching.
Ever wonder what all the hype around Lucky Star is but never really felt like watching it? Well this one episodes clues you in on what it's all about and if you like it there's a whole season waiting for you out there. To the rest of you, meh you probably already seen this.
