Her personality is just great. She's teasing, playful, cute, childish, but smart, intelligent, witty and self-confident at the same time. Sometimes she seems to be so lonely and sad, yet she's happy to live and enjoys small things of life. She has a lot of wisdom, but gives a very youthful impression. She's really a complete character. Also, did I mention she's sexy? In short, she's like the perfect woman..... even though she's a wolf!

Apple-loving wolf! She's sexy and beautiful, wise and witty, what else not to love about her? Although her true form is that of a gigantic, fierce wolf, her human form is just so lovely. She has her own unique way of talking, which gives a vibe of noble, high class courtesans. Her conversations with Lawrence are always enjoyable and she loves tricks too!

Nodame is so amusing and awesome in so many ways that I think she is totally the best anime character ever.

This girl made me laugh so hard and reminded me of certain people I know... her character, believe it or not, is SO real and so "anime" at the same time that really shocked me.

Quirky, erratic, temperamental, spoiled, childish, yet lovable - that's the essence of Noda Megumi, the female protagonist of Nodame Cantabile. And who wouldn't love Nodame? She's extremely amusing - but not over-the-top. Her reactions are - like Sana from Kodocha - extreme, but honest. She makes you want to have a good time and, without her, the anime just wouldn't be worth much. Most of all, for all her funny reactions, she's pretty believable, unlike some characters out there who are planted for cuteness.

Simon represents the epitome of manliness and true legendary heroism in anime. He's the so-called Anti-Shinji, starting out as a diligent young man who works only to fill his stomach and eventually becoming the savior of all existence. Even as we watch him as a young boy, his trials and tribulations only make him stronger. He never backs down from challenges, and rises above his own weaknesses with inspiration from his surrogate brother Kamina. Even when he is vilified by his own people, he puts their interests first, and defies physics to save a friend. At the end of it all, he remains collected, knowing that life is what it is, and keeps his head held high. A man amongst men, a hero amongst heroes.

There isn't anything in him that you dislike. He is afraid all the time, he is weak and doesn't stand out, but when his friends are in danger he transforms into an awesome hero. You cheer him on from the beginning to the end, he is like us in that we don't usually stand out but he does the impossible when he must, which is what all of us wish we had the courage to do.

Started out as a stereotypical pacifist hero who had some confidence issues, but after going on an emo trip for a few episodes he emerged as one of the manliest characters I've ever seen. Not to mention that his final sunglasses are epic.

Lazy, carefree and indifferent are some words to describe Gintoki. Still, he has his morals and he fights for what is right (in his own, very funny way). This character has made me laugh so many times it would be bad not to vote for him. A great guy and a great anime.

Random and funny, lazy and a slacker, but yet he cherishes his friends over his life, that's what makes me look up to him. Well, that seems pretty much similar to most anime characters, but to me, other than his swordsmanship, Gin is pretty much a normal human being, who likes to lay back and relax. He also complains about work, which makes him seem more realistic.

There are no words for Gintoki! He is one of the funniest and coolest characters out there. With his sense of humor and cool fighting style, he will get one of the highest scores!
