11. Looking down one of the "main roads" in the village back-area. Behind me is the foot of a small mountain where many more houses are located.
12. Mountain peaks caress the background as we overlook Nariwa Village. The Nariwa River is at the base of those mountains.
13. Looking back as we start the ascent up the little mountain.
14. This wasn't the very top of the mountain, but it's where I decided to end my upward hike only because I was dying of thirst and exhaustion. I'll tackle this whole thing some weekend once the Spring comes... and hopefully there will be plenty of cherry blossoms to see.
15. Overlooking the village some more. I am annoyed that my camera always decided to auto-focus on the stupid wires, even when I put it in landscape-mode. uguu~ Anyway... that's the main road for the back-area dividing the photo in half. My friend's office is right in the middle (kinda)... bordering all those ricefields. Both of the rivers can be seen in this photo. Xeno Palace is somewhere off to the far-right. Takes about 45 minutes of walking to get here from my doorstep.. and yes, I was equipped with an iPod.
16. What's a guy gotta do to find a friggin' octagon around here?!?!? How am I supposed to teach the Ball of Cuteness proper shapes if Japan doesn't supply me with octagons!! (and yes, that is a Japanese stop-sign).
