Intriguing how two assassins whose emotions were drilled out of them gain them again, and the consequences of it - and how even though they are a tool, they are still human.

Remedil
Action, drama and a bit of romance mixed together with prodigy assassins. Plot twists, revenge and betrayal. It's a great action anime all around.

I'll admit, I didn't know much about mah-jong before coming in touch with the series. And I still don't know it too well since the series moves as fast as a game can get. But it's the entertaining cast and their yuri suggestive antics that kept me hooked to watch the next battle or episodes, so not knowing the game that well yet, is not as bad of a hindrance if you're having fun watching!

Mahjong is usually the preferred game of dark, yakuza types. What if a bunch of school-girls played it? The result is Saki, a series that breathes new life into the genre. The show has its flaws, but it makes up for it with great tournament-style mahjong, complete with supernatural powers, unique tactics and special moves. It laughs at the concept of probability and dishes out all kinds of outrageous and unexpected situations. This is probably the most fun I've had watching a high-school tournament of any kind.

Several aspects of this anime made it interesting (to say the least...). First, a girl goas into a school hoping to find love. An ALL-GIRLS SCHOOL! Then she ends up sharing a room with a beautiful roomate, who turns out to be a guy, dressed up as a girl for some reason, and likes to bully her crazy. So basically this anime is about a lesbian girl who ends up sharing a room with a transvestite. Yup, a one-of-a-kind effed up anime. From surviving the horror of her roomate's torture and her allergies from touching boys, to her endless pursuit of girl-girl loving-

loving, this anime is one of the most hilarious I have watched so far- (did I also mention that the girl is also a nosebleeding pervert?). The chaotic yet colourful opening is also great to watch, as also the pixel-based old-school game-themed closing.

Guy in drag with yuri roommates. Ah, how could we not love a comedy that is just so wrong.

A slightly unique anime in its way of combining fighting into the light and darkness.

It pretty much picks up where the last season left off and doesn't stop. Some people may not be fans of the parody anime genre but I like its depreciative style and frequent references to other anime works.

I might be in a minority, but I felt this season much more entertaining and easier to follow even with less pop culture/anime parodies or references, and a shorter episode count. I did find some relationships getting a bit much for Hayate and the cast, but it still shined with the animation and the cast growing nevertheless to be more interesting. The better episode story structure also helped and made one hope for another season to come.

One of the rare gems of 2009. A great adventure genre anime. I like how the story matures as Erin grows up. Some may be turned off by the cutesy kiddy start but this is an anime with a lot of story to tell.

Great fairy tail about a young girl with a big heart growing up in a troubled country. Even though it got quite angsty in the end. I still looked forward to every new episode.
