Though I not a fan of moe animes, this one I realy liked. Kyoto animations produkts are always plesure to look at and K-ON is no exeption. K-ON is one of those animes that are extremely easy to enjoy. There is no great plot or hidden meanings and thats ok because the point of this anime is none of those it's just pure moe and laughter and it gives good feeling to everyone who watches this anime.

K-ON was my biggest surprise for this year. I previously had known nothing about it, and I watched just looking for a simple laugh. Surprised I was when it found out to be my favorite of the year. The light tone is has, cheerful characters, catchy songs. Even with only one season it was possible to introduce new characters as the shows went along and it made it all even better! Overall this is a must watch! There's no way this anime won't make you happy after watching it.

K-ON has the smoothest, cutest, and the most breathtaking animation of 2009. But even if it didn't, I'd still vote it in the top number one because I'm in love with the characters and their chemistry together, on and off the stage. Hilarious, amusing, Oh-no-she-didn't--all sorts of humor that freshens the heart. There were even some emotional moments among them, and even some pleasantly surprising character development, which I found to be the cherry on top. All in all, the Best Anime of 2009.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Hagane no Renkinjutsushi - Brotherhood * BONES * 63 Episodes * A-S Link

FMA Brotherhood is the awesomeness that it is because Studio Bones and mangaka Arakawa delivered a powerhouse combination of gripping, highly imaginative, fast- paced storytelling and creative, fluid, high production value animation. Not only does it have its deep characters, plentiful plot twists, high frame rates and solid dialogues, its all weaved in an intelligent, smart, creative and EPIC story. It really is a journey from episode 1 with the Elric brothers and gang, and what an epic ride it is. The testament to its excellence is how we all loved the first FMA anime adaptation and how Brotherhood trumped this already high standard by an epic margin.

I've always supported both the anime and manga as 2 distinct but interesting stories in their own way. There were things I liked in the first anime but of course I had always hoped the manga would get a full adaptation as an anime over time once it was feasible. That time came and we got Brotherhood. You get some of the fun from the first anime, then get whisked into another path that is the manga storyline. The new cast is a welcome addition, while some of the old cast get different looks in both how they are presented or how their characters develop. The animation is nicely touched up, the music still rocks, and I always anticipate the next episode to come even if I'm way ahead in the manga, because the plot is so good and I want to see each action sequence in anime form! Easily my anticipation was met with this series and I continue to follow it with eagerness!

It took a while for FMA:B to convince me of its greatness. In fact, I can pinpoint the exact moment when I stopped thinking this was nothing more than an inferior, unnessesary spin-off to that great original version. Episode 19 and Roy Mustangs epic 'I sealed it with Fire' line. From that point on it's been fantastic. Brotherhood is equal to the original. No better and no worse. Quite frankly, that is one of the highest praises you could give an anime.

Story, characters, openings and endings. All of them are awesome. Nearly all who watches anime know what Fullmetal Alchemist's first anime is. Now think a story which is more darker, many more characters with much more personality and one of the best openings. That's what will be Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Unlike its first filler series it explains a lot more about our unanswered question while introducing a much bigger Fullmetal world with new countries like Xerxes and Xing. I don't know others but it gives me everything from what I expect at that anime category.
