Nagoya Castle
Every major city, and a lot of the smaller ones, has a castle. Most of the castles originate back to the 1600s, though because of WWII bombing, most are reconstructions from the 1950s or heavily renovated. Sadly, this means that most of the castles we see are blocked by scaffolding or other modern on-going construction equipment. Nagoya wasn't much of an exception, but at least the main castle itself was unobstructed.

#06: The bigger castles have gorgeous and impressive moats built around their outer walls. The map indicated it using it the color blue, which makes me wonder if at any point during the year, this is filled with water.

#07: The main tower of Nagoya Castle stands behind an inner-moat and wall.

#08: The main tower again, but you can also see one of the sub-buildings (maybe for servants, I dunno), as well as some deer that were chillin' out in the inner-moat area. Haha, how the hell did they get in there?

#09: Here's me trying to be all artistical... I mean, it was one of the main reasons why I travel to random cities.

#10: Walking between one of the sub-buildings and the main castle. Like most Japanese castles, this one has 7 stories. The lower floors have been converted into museums, while the top floor is made into an observatory/gift-shop, haha. (insert your own "McDonald's at the top of the Eiffel Tower" joke here)

#11: okay okay okay, you got me... I was playing with dollies... but look, she's totally ready to skewer someone!! That's worth something, right?

#12: Well, these ones are just playing instruments... but their friends had arrows and stuff!!

#13: haha, I have no excuse on this one, but it's interesting to see how the royalty were dressed. I forgot how many exactly, but it's customary that princesses wear like 12-16 layers of kimono.

#14: Japan loves scale models... every castle has a model of the edo-period town around it.

#15: Being all artsy again... gotta use the sunlight to my advantage when I can.

#16: Edo-era tentacle porn -________-;;

#17: Have I seen this guy somewhere? Counting to infinity, perhaps...
