The art was interesting, different than the usual also every episode I felt like I was on a adventurous journey, with a never dull moment. But the most extraordinary was the story telling and colorful characters. It gave me the same feeling of "old" classical stories, that they never get boring, they will remain in our heart and memory even after 50 years.

Bizarre characters. Weird artwork. Unexpected turn of events. This series has everything to make it unique! Now, whether if it's unique for good or for bad is a matter of opinion. As for me, I found it to be the most enjoyable anime of the year.

You know exactly what you are getting with this anime. A quest for 12 swords in 12 episodes. I throughly enjoyed the character design and the constant parody of other anime (especially Van Hellsing) made for many laugh. A great, quick watch.

After the second season that kind of put me off of the series the movie gladly makes up for it. The music form Satie also gave this movie some points for me.

Top-notch production values, intriguing storyline with poignant scenes, delivered by distinctively memorable and very much appealing characters, this movie is in essence, a perfect combination of faithfulness to source material and production staffs' own creative input. Indeed, this is one adaptation done right, for it didn’t just meet my expectation: it exceeded it. This one isn't just the best of 2010; The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi easily goes into my list of all-time favs. I can rave on, but I guess I'll just save those for the review and blog posts.
