Although not much about this harem action rom-com stood out, I still enjoyed it alot and thought it was pretty funny.

I am a basketball player and I LOVED "Slam Dunk", I never thought another basketball anime would catch my attention like Kuroko no Basket did. I really enjoyed this series, great characters, funny moments, and good matches (but with supermoves unlike slam dunk, but still enjoyable).

Jormungand 2: Perfect Order

My vote for this includes the first half of this series as well, but Jormungand was just all sorts of awesome. Not only was the action great and the music top-notch, but all the characters on Koko's crazy team were well developed, which was surprising to me at least for a series of this genre, each one having their pasts explored and their time in spotlight. I felt that the second half of Jormungand was a little better than the first due to the meat of the story happening at this point, but honestly the series was well executed as a whole being able to balance out the story and action scenes perfectly. Saying any more would simply ruin the build-up for others, so just watch Jormungand and you won't be disappointed! Koko is truly loco.

Well, this is definitely an anime geared towards an older audience, and I definitely came to enjoy the series with its plot that was moved forward by the development of the main character. Basically, if you want something a little bit more serious then this is DEFINITELY the show. If you want a Rom/Com, I can think of so many other places that you should be at. Watching Jormungand, World-Eating Snake, is not one of them.

A misleading title, but a truly adventurous and unique take on the anime pirate world...IN SPACE!

I'm "hit and miss" with the sci-fi genre, but this one really connected with me. It's not even a quick action type of space action movie, but that helped me connect even more with the series. The catchy opening song helps kick off a show that seems like a silly concept, but once into it I loved how Marika took the outrageous change from school girl of a space yacht club to a space pirate, with rules of course in this timeline! There are 2 distinct casts in her space pirate crew of the Bentenmaru that had such a wonderfully diverse crew from my favourite Coorie the electronics specialist with a ton of quirks to silly Kane who then bridged to the second cast as their homeroom teacher, with her space yacht club who had their own band of silly but well meaning school gals of Hakuoh Academy like my other favourite cast member Chiaki the tsundere rival pirate and others in the club like Jenny the president who has her own major plot twists. The animation was a great draw when they are in space racing, fighting or simply having a blast being pirates. I love the concept of the rules of engagement for pirates that add to the challenges they face. Marika just seems like part proud pirate successor and part care-free student, and that makes for a fun progression of her story and relationships with the entire cast. Later additions even make for some harkening to the Sailor Moon days when the Serenity Kingdom gets involved, which almost seems like a purposeful addition to get some royal fun into the mix. Overall it's a well paced show that just makes it fun to cruise around space being mischievous.
