It's lucky I didn't chuck it right away because of the yaoi vibes, because this turns out to be one of the hidden gems of this season. Damn Manglobe, I had almost given up on you!

This show reminds me of Tiger and Bunny in a lot of ways. Not just because of the superheroes and the bromance between the main characters, but also because they used more mature characters that felt a lot more realistic in their behavior, and also they can be witty and funny in their everyday life situations. It's rare that I like a show that has zero females to speak of so far, but the characters just became almost endearing to me. Although the show would get over that hurdle soon, with hints of Tomatsu Haruka's character playing a bigger role in the future.

This would be the "best show that no one tried".

Ever wondered what it'll be like to see (hear) Azunyan (K-ON!) in a hentai? Well, I present you Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai. Here you'll get to hear the huge-chested character of Taketatsu Ayana do a lot of moaning while getting as much skinship as possible with another huge-chested character. Seriously, have you seen the trailer? That's pretty much all that is going on in it. So, if you're a fan making a fan-made Azunyan hentai, you're luck. Simply cut out the moans in this anime and paste it in your clip.

So, Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai is simply a combination of all that and a little bit of Isshouni Training: Athlete edition. And that makes this the least creative title of the season.

If visual eroticisms wasn't enough, now we have auditory fan service or ecchiness for you. I recommend turning your volume down if you have other people around the room. It's going to sound like you're watching something naughty - which you are, but you don't want everyone to know do you? Who should I thank for thinking outside of the box? Jokes aside. Sekai de Ichiban is about a popular idol who announces that she wants to be a professional wrestler. I was guffawing most of the episode, not because this is a comedy series but because things are just so laughable! It was funny how they made such a big deal about her hair.

Have you heard of the game Rumble Roses? Well, if you're into this sort of anime, I BET you have. This is pretty much Rumble Roses with sexy moaning sounds. I don't think you'll gain much from watching this except if you're into idols and wish to hear them scream in an erotic-sounding way.

In a world where humans and demons live together, Akatsuki Kojou was a normal human being until he became a vampire and the 4th Proginator.

Outlook: Highschool Life, Magic and Brutal Killings... what's not to like? Can't wait until Kojou's powers start to properly manifest themselves.

Himitsu

Strike the Blood looks cheap and visually unappealing. I couldn't get past how unbalanced and uneventful the first episode was. And what's this? Another vampire-like anime? Whoppee. This seems like a cloaked sudden-girlfriend appearance anime, except that it's masked behind some cheap action and fantasy genre. Do you like seeing panty shots of a middle school girl? Such awfulness. The characters seem very flat thus far.

Strike the Blood looks like it tries to be too "cool" or is trying to do too many things into one package, but it is too premature or unskilled to do it nicely.

Outlook: Doesn't look like it will be any good.

Another show that got off a terrible start. The first episode had a middle school girl hunting down a high school boy and little else. Zero depth was given to any of the characters, and we only know sketchy details of the plot. The girl has no common sense, making her look worst than she actually is; because they seem all too ready to throw her at the protagonist in a flimsy romance subplot. And finally, the male lead is a vampire. And because of stuff like Twilight and the shitloads of crappy vampire romance story written by dreamy 13-years-olds, anything to do vampires seems to be put down several notches; and in this case, it just seems like a cheap way to make our very bland protagonist a little more interesting.

Well, the girl is 100% tsundere goodness. I'm exaggerating, but it's true that they don't make tsunderes like that anymore. They're always overacting or overly cheesy in their personal drama or back story. Yukina here keeps it real, and being simple-minded despite being really smart helps a lot.

And luckily, they managed to not ruin the title by putting a vampire as a lead character. In fact, the story thus far has very little to do with vampires and stuff; they seemed more like a complimenting element to the world of many different superhuman forces than anything.

The plot has so far been completely generic, although they did play up the drama here and there. The action scenes are okay too. The most interesting parts will still have to be the more relaxed school/home scenes where we get the most out of the cute girls. The problem with Strike the Blood is that it still stands out in no way whatsoever, but on the postive side, there aren't any real or big flaws to put you off watching it.
