I think Cowboy Bebop could be done well in live action, but they would have to do a VERY good casting job. Hell, I think the hardest part would be finding someone to play Ed.

Speaking as a writer, if the audience does not feel empathy for the characters in a story, then the creator of the story has not done a very good job.

I hate the art in all the "kiddie" anime, but then again I'm not their target audience.

But, if the art in DBZ didn't suck, I might be into it.
