Well levels function on PS is to play with contrast and brightness in an easy way. I don't know if PSP has the levels function but anything related with brightness and contrast should be fiddled with ...

If you are cleaning the pages. I suggest playing with the levels in Photoshop, I tried with a page yesterday and it helps a bit but the difference isn't amazing but the page seems cleaner.

If you don't want to waste more time, PM me, and I'll restart the project right now.
