tried something new to me so it is probably not that great.

they are good but i think with more depth they will look better. try playing around with levels, contrast/brightness, and color balnce.

that's pretty good considering you were using a mouse. try looking for tutorials on making cg art on photoshop. i suggest going to devianart, there are a lot of tutorials on cg art there.
