Really short: Elf Princes Rane
You have to see it. It is sooooo insane. It's even better subitled.

Poi Poi Poemi is also right up there.

Manga is by far better in most cases. It's the same as the American Book/Movie. The movie may be great, but they generally condense quite a bit to make the Movie. It's much the same with Manga/Anime. ...
