just how different is the anime from the manga i saw all the episodes but i never saw the manga where can i find it?

i loved ranma 1/2 and i've read thousands of fanfictions about it one thing though i absolutely hate akane ,why can't ranma chose kasumi instead

if you ignore the fanservice its a very good anime ,i also liked how the guy with the sword cut the cannon ball in two

i loved angel sanctuary the ovas are pretty good but manga was better in many ways and the end was very confusing ,can anyone explain please
