Photoshop "painting" till now, Best i have done...

WOW! someone wants me to teach. Ok, no problem, but hey hey, there are many here who are much better than me at photoshop, like our beloved moderator meganekko-san. Ne ne, meganekko-san, could you help this guy too? you could post here... i need those tips from you too.

Ok lets get started. Firstly, in photoshop, the most important tools are the selection and color chooser. the selection let you choose the area where you want to make changes. you can make changes without selection too, but selection makes it easier to restrict the area which you want to edit. In photoshop, they call it the marquee tool. The color chooser tool, as seen from its name, lets you choose the color which you want to use. In photoshop, its called the eyedropper tool. you can also click the 2 boxes with color near the bottom of the tool window, you then choose your colour manually.

Another basic tool, will be the Brush tool. It is well.... a brush in the computer in layman terms, just a brush for you to color things. Then, will be the eraser tool, it erases.... These will be the simple, but very important tools. The rest will be up to you to discover. Like opacity and others, will be hard for me to explain, experience makes the best teacher, do more works, and gain more knowledge.

For shading, dodge and burn tools make your best friends. Dodge brightens the area, burn darkens the area. Exposure means how much you want the area to be "burned" or "dodged". Much thanks to meganekko-san to teach me this important skill. Domo arigatou meganekko-san!

Thats all i will be "teaching" for now. Anything else, just tell me, i'll try my best, ganbarimasu! Anyway, for the pic you requested me to color, i'll be glad to do that for you, but i'm afraid that it will take some time, quite some time in fact, probably a few weeks. Hontouni gomenasai! I have the request from meganekko-san,which i am some way through around 30%. I also have my own pictures which i want to color. Other than that, there is my robotics competitions which will probably keep me quite busy till early next month. I'll tr to complete it by the end of this month. Hontouni gomenasai.... hiya... ok, a tablet is actually like a small board that is attached to the computer. you use a special pen to write on the board, and i will come out on the computer.
Something like that, its really useful if you are keen on doing the same thing as me. I first use it to write chinese documents, but now i use it everyday for photoshop editting.

Oh yeah, meganekko-san, for your pic you requested, i have complete coloring satsuki, i want to know if you approve of the coloring style. its always important to know of the "customers" liking Very Happy

. Nishino and toujo should be completed soon, sorry for the long wait!

both you and Meganekko did a great job. Nevermind about my requested you can do that whenever you're not to busy anyway thank a lots about willing to help me for the photoshop. Well i guess there much lots things I need to learn but I wanted to experienced myself to used the photoshop and if I not understand someparts of it so I will bohtered you for the next times.

Also, another thing that it have to apologise about is that for this latest pic, i used the lens flare filter. Sorry for breaking the tradition of not using filters but only tools. Gomenasai. the picture also seems kinda small and pixellated, gomen..

gomen, i know the thighs shading looks kinda wierd, i'll change it soon. Oh, and can someone pls teach me how to do the background, i'm kinda stupid with backgrounds, most of the time i just do the foreground. haha...

I'm so sorry if I hadn't been able to come in for a while, finals week is coming up and we have a project going on.... Confused

Anyway, I love how you made that Nishino pic! You used two or more layers for that one right? Wow. Hadn't thought of that one. When I colored my Ichigo 100% pic I used the background layer only.... haha. Maybe that's why mine's so crude.... Laughing

Just a tip jiashore, why don't you try adjusting the brightness/contrast before you color a pic? It removes a lot of dirt and darkens the lines. Great tool before using the Magic Wand! Also, don't be afraid to use filters! The Smart Blur will be your friend in every pic you make! It'll clean everything. Trust me, experience taught me to abuse every little tool in Photoshop.

And I think I'll try putting up a Tutorial Thread Sticky for Photoshop in here, so that the Photoshop masters, like Pinkard and you can teach newbies and the helpless like me~ Wink

Hmm... maybe I'll try coloring up the Nishino one too..... haha.
