interesting choice of using "Be your girl"... I heard that it'a also used in PGSM. just got the subs (the torrents are back up and working) and whew. now that I can understand it a lot better... makes a lot of sense Razz

although there're still some things I'm a little unsure about.

still promising, although since I browsed ahead with the manga (volumes 1- Cool

I'm a little wary of what they're doing

WOW! i have watched the fisrt four eps two.... amazing! there are no word to describe this.... spectacular carnage, high-level cuteness and intense and twisting plot!

well... searching for some Elfen Lied stuff, i found the single 'Be your girl' torrent in a spanish tracker (frozen-layer) and i dwload it. for my suprise, included in a .RAR file, was an extras folder with these pictures, but no information or data about them was aded.

It is an interesting to note that they kept the child sexual abusement in the anime. Many anime would not dare touch upon this touchy subject. Furthermore Elfen Lied is shown on a PPV not as a hentai(?) show. I would have initially thought that they were willing to change that scene from the manga.

Does this signal some change in the daringness of the studios? Are they starting to challenge the usual broadcast codes? First the overwhleming goriness, now 'touchy' issues.

Hrm, well this is what you get when u cross Evangelion and Love Hina. Not a bad shows with the exception of the amazingly self centered and annoying Yuka, this show might be enjoyable.

Also, did any one else laugh when they made it seem like Lucy killed the puppy?

lots of places have touched upon the similarities of the opening/ending artwork with some german artist.. ger... del.. something.

yay!

i'm dwloading Ep. 5 fansubbed!

i'll edit this post to discuss it when finished... (hopefully aug. 26 8:00 a.m.)

and i think that the VERY explicit stuff that this anime shows (carnage, nudity, even child abuse [if you want to put it that way.... lol]) makes Elfen Lied unique! that's maybe a major reason why it outstands over average every-day-watching anime! can't wait for more!

Umm. please share where you are getting ep 5 subbed... cuz as of this time I only see the RAWs for episode 5.

Also I found out that the art in the OP and ED is based on Gustav Klimt(1862-1918).
