| Elfen Lied has got to be the shocker anime of all time (tentacle anime not included). In the first 5 episodes, EL has displayed the extreme of the extreme of violence, the extreme cuteness of cuteness, and also manages to have some of the funniest moments of anime I've ever scene. (The scene when the male lead has to "change" the clothes and gets walked in on has got to be the funniest moment I've ever seen in an anime.) But the story thus far is extremely intriguing. Episode 5 really touches upon some controversy. Do they air this on public television in Japan? |

I agree a lot with youthinasia888. that beginning part... eeugh. that was horrible.

I think Shoangore means the Episode 5 ending.... Elfen Lied final episode (13) hasn't been aired yet.
btw, finally got Ep 5. i seemed to be the first one dwloading it, and the last one who watched it. (shitty ISP problems.... ) but that's now fixed!
i agree with shoangore, the beginning was.... well..... something you don't watch everyday. and about the ending, i haven't read the manga. but the anime was very cool! can't wait for ep. 6!
so, can i ask where the manga can be dwloaded? if anyone knows, please let me know. Arigatou! _________________

| This is gonna be some really fine stuff, especially since the mangas are more explicit than the anime where everything is toned down. So is the manga better than the anime(I'm 99& convinced but I ask anyway)? And does someone know how long it will be? It will probably be longer than material for 13 eps. |

Elfen Lied manga is currently published up to Vol 8 (El-75 + some specials) but is still serialised in some regular manga-zine (I do not know which El it is now).
The manga definitely contains more material than the 13 episode anime. |

dunno...from the few fuan scanlations that i read, the manga was a lot less explict than the anime, but contained much more information, so u actually know exactly wats happening. _________________

From what I've read of the manga, it seems that the anime is way more explicit, maybe its just the red blood colour over the screen... but the manga does go over much more details than the anime.
The anime we're left more in the dark about things.
Btw... here are the ED song and another song from the anime.... if anyone knows where to find a full version of the OP.. that'll be great =)

I found a site that actually shows comparisons of several fan subbing groups, as well as some other things:
http://killerattacks.de/elfenlied/
(also has some music script for lilium) _________________

Hmm... Ep 6 was pretty interesting.
Lucy shows a bit of her human side and actually cries in this episode, and her past with Kouta was shown a bit (also it seems Nyuu is not as clueless and memory-less as she looks). Some bit of romance too.
And Nana is not dead...

In the manga she comes back with artificial limbs... and she apparently can fire her fist like a rocket punch.. lol
