ep 11 was good, but ep 12 was great!!
Ep 11 goes into another mushi kind of thing, but we know in that episode on why Ginko has to travel around. He attracts mushis, and he learned them out of necessity...
But ep 12 goes into it in more-depth. It was Ginko's background episode!!! We all know now how was him when he was a kid, and how he got the name "Ginko" and why he left with one eye, and green eyes, and white hair...

Episode 12
Finally Ginko's mysterious appearance was explained. But if Ginko lost all memories of previous life, did he remember Nui's mushishi teachings?
My favorite episode is still episode 1. That was just so mysterious and had great impact. Rarely a series' best episode is the first episode, but Mushishi's first episode was really amazing. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

yeah there are so many memorable moments. i like the bit where the crow interupts the mushi banquet. And the episode also looks great. mmm green
The series handles emotion with a deftness of touch absent from so much other stuff ive watched. The tone is unembellished and often shifts unexpectedly.
i like the idea that you can pass the tokoyami if you can at least remember your name. hmm reminds me of Spirited Away. Apparently Ginko means 'silver serpent' which is a fair description of Haku. i wonder if it means anything

Personally, I liked the episode when they dealt with the moving swamp. I can't remember the exact number, but I wanna say it was Episode 3. Or maybe Episode 3 was the pillow... Hmm...
This is a little late to add in but...
Episode 12
I think it's not so much the fact that he remembered her teachings, but that he had to learn them out of necessity. He, like others draws Mushi's, so he learned how to deal with them because of that. Basically, although he was taught, he basically learned it all through experience after he forgot. It could also be that he naturally understood some things, like faint traces of his past.

| Does anyone know when more episodes are going to be subbed, or is the show on a break or something? Can't get enough of that Mushishi. |

The memory loss part of episode 12 is a little iffy overall... after all, if the woman he met had lost her memory when she took her new name then she shouldn't have any recollection of her husband and child who she came looking for... she clearly did, so methinks that either the script writers just boggled the concept or that there really wasn't any memory loss at all and maybe the subbers biffed it a bit. _________________ You can't hold no groove if you ain't got no pocket. |

| from what i can remember she never lost her memory. She grew white hair, lost an eye and acquired a green pupil because she exposed herself to the darkness for too long. |

| thanks to this episode we now know that the whole "mushi persecute me all the times" thing is not casual but caused by Ginko himself, who stepped in the mushi path to rescue (ok, he tried...) the woman. Naturally, now he lost all the memories to the mushi so he doesn't know... |

Episode 15 was beautiful... wow this series is so well executed and well written. It's good enough material to write a book series on. _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

Anyone know if there is a mushishi OST?
The music (when there, this show takes excellent advantage of proper silences) is good, and i was just wondering if there was an official OST (or is it too early in theshow?) _________________ I like your hat. |
