well before we get all in an uproar over free downloading of anything the fact of the matter is you need a computer- a good computer for that matter to download efficiently. not to mention a great connection and the right application. i'm sure it's hard to imagine yourselves in a situation without a computer or any form of entertainment, but there are many people in the world without this luxury. which brings us to our general demographic- the moderate to rich. artist are far from rich, but generally do things because the love to- they are passionate about it.
so the argument that the creators do make enough money is irrelevant. they will get sponsor from the sites, donations from their fans, and they can still get other work in other art forms.
afte all that, i'm sure it sounds like i'm for free downloading. contrary to my statements- i am against it.
peace. |

| It depends on the people anyway. Downloading unlicensed is okay, except when the police catch you for that (if they ever will) and if your net is slow, then too bad. Better buy anime if you can't bare with the slow downloading rate. On top of that, most anime download on the net have bad voice. |

as many people said if its not liscenced in america there isnt really any reason you shouldnt download the series. Even if its liscenced like naruto, many people dislike the voice acting and since the series is so far behind many people dont even watch it on tv so they have to resort to release groups to keep up to date.... I mean really whos goin to wait 3+ years for cartoon network to catch up with the japanese, and I read that Cartoon network couldnt even obtain the liscence for the entire series. Those who really like the series will go out and buy the dvds, but even those who dont buy the dvds the company will make money from merchandises of naruto.
As a last note... few people will buy a long anime series if its not so great.. ie nartuo and its fillers...and if you cant buy the entire series wats the point in buying one dvd? |

The Fact That The Creators Of most popular anime are still around and continue to make more and more anime suggests that they are making sufficient mony. Either way anime that becomes rediculously popular via downloading often becomes licenced for a HUGE amount of money so i believe that the dl of anime is correct and that it shud stay this way... _________________ Shit Happens It Really Does So Deal With It And 3NJ0Y |

| I have always been of the opinion that downloading anime is only bad after it has been licensed in North America. After that point I will (within my budget of course) wait for DVD's to be released and buy/rent them. If it is not licensed in north america then usually the only way to get it on DVD is to support the knock-off crowd unless you happen to have a region 2 DVD player and speak very good Japanese because region 2 DVD's don't normally have english subtitles. |

Also when it is licenced to americans a lot of the anime is lost examples include "Dragon Ball GT", "Naruto" and im sure u guys know of many others, the thing is who wants to watch some american edit of the anime we love, guys imagine if america was to get tsubasa chronicle and change it what would u have to say to that, similarly downloading of anime allows most people to access a DUBBED version a lot faster as opposed to waiting for a year for the american release, say what u want but as soon as it has been released in america or just plain "LICENCED" downloading no longer has a negative a affect on the creator just american beurecrats so maybe it is actually alright to doenload the origionals? even after they are licenced i mena what other reason do you have to not download licenced? _________________ Shit Happens It Really Does So Deal With It And 3NJ0Y |

It might seem wrong...But I think it's alright for people to satisfy their wants for anime. It's not like its a really shady thing to do, and as Souchiro said, anime is reall expensive. Furthermore, some anime might NEVER be available in certain countries, especially in mine... |
