speakers

i have JBL 2 Speakers, 6 Watt output. it can be seen here CLICK HERE FOR THE PICTURE
when ever i try to plug my head phones in the audio is gone and can't be heard through the head phones. am i supposed to get special headphones or what?

Maybe you can try to test the speaker to a conventional player that uses the earphone jack like your MP3 player and then try to max both volumes. If there is no sound, then it could be that the wires inside the insulator are severed.

If there is sound appeared when it is plug into your MP3 player, then it is your sound card.

well, by default the audio to the speakers gets cut off, when headphones are plugged in

have you checked to see if your headphones work, but using them with some other device?

Shoot, I read the question wrongly... DAMN!!!

*Knocks head on the wall*

Then test your headphones on the audio card output and check whether your headphones functions. If not, then it is your headphone problem. Try different earphones and see whether it has sound when you plugged it in.
